From day one, she used the litter box. I was a little worried since she was used to going outside, but she took to it right away.
This morning, I was walking down my hallway, and smelled something a little funny. After following my nose, I found the source of the smell. My beautiful plant.
It seems Ginger has been pooping in the soil in the pot.
This is where I need your help.
How do I break her from this?
My hubby suggested moth ball powder, but that will stink, and I don't know if it is safe for my plant.
Any ideas?

I had a cat do that in the past. I bought an inexpensive piece of plastic needlepoint canvas (available at any craft shop) and cut it the shape of the pot and a hole in the middle for the plant and laid it on top of the dirt. This stopped the cat.

I can;t say it would work for plants, but the spray that we've been using for the Christmas tree sure has been working at keeping them away. I don't know if it would work for regular plants or not. We got it at the pet store.
You will get absolutely no help from me. Never had a cat growing up... my mom is afraid of them, she actually used to have a recurring dream about getting clawed by them. seriously. Then me and my husband had our Bailey (poodle) who is no longer with us. And now we have a Hamster. He is cute. Except he throws his poop out of his cage. I am serious about that too. Every morning I have a little pile of his poop to clean up. Yes...this is my life..lol. Anyway, good luck with it.
I use tinfoil to make a cover for the soil.
moth balls should work, but even better, get rid of the plant which gets rid of the temptation. Moth balls are worth a try!
