Sometimes, Life Gets In The Way Of Blogging

That title just about sums up my week.  I was pretty amazed when I noticed this morning that I have not put up a new post since Sunday.  You all know this is not like me at all.  But, we've been busy, and life happens, and time just got away from me.  I had a giveaway end over the weekend, and I've yet to post the winner.  I have had several things delivered for reviews, and they are just sitting around, waiting on me.  Well, that's not entirely true.  I have been using the eReader and MP3 player...those two things are going to get a pretty great review because, well, they are awesome little pieces of technology. 

Junior took an unexpected leave from work for a few days, so with him home, I find it hard to get anything done.  The house is a mess, my blogs are neglected, my mind is on fourteen hundred things all at the same time, and, well, that just means that things get put on hold until I can collect my thoughts.

I'm still collecting...

Here We Go Again

Was I the only one to lose page rank today? My craft blog went from a 2 to a n/a yet again. Last time it was only for about a week, so hopefully that is the case this time as well. I'm not holding my breath, though. Google is a funny little thing...

Rankings

I have noticed the past few days that my Alexa ratings are going up. Not by much, but enough that I noticed. It wasn't just this blog, either, but my craft one, too. This doesn't bother me too much. I am just happy to be keeping my google rank. If that drops, then I will worry.

Spanked, Yet Again

So I got up this morning, and checked my blogs. Then I checked the paid sites, and don't you know. Google hates me! My nice PR2 for my craft blog has now joined this one with a nice big n/a. How does this happen? Am I doing something wrong? I know it's hard to figure out the whole page rank thing, but I am tired of getting the crap end of it.

Ranking

Last month, google re-ranked everyone's blogs. At that time, I went from a 0 to a n/a. I had no idea why. I still don't. I googled "things to do to improve page rank" and tried some things. I even requested google re-evaluate my blog, explaining that I used to be enjoying the ride, and that I switched due to family issues, which you all know about anyway.

I have also been steadily falling with my alexa ranking. I am now under 225,000, which makes me happy! My goal is to get under 150,000, but we'll see if I can get there. My "real rank" with PPP is getting lower everyday. Yesterday it was 495. I think it has a lot to do with dropping ecards. If I skip a few days, that number goes up. Coincidence? Who knows. But it's working for me!

So....imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and discovered I am now PR2! Yay!!!! I don't know if everyones rank changed again, or if my requesting an evaluation is why I got a new one, but I am extrememly happy with this. I wonder if this will qualify me for more paid posts?
