Sugarland Concert

 The girls and I are going to see Sugarland on March 10th.  I can not wait!  They are my favorite, and it is the first concert for the girls, ever.  I also think they need this now, as they are having a little trouble with this whole me and their dad separating thing.  I am really hoping that they don't sing my favorite song, because I will seriously lose it.  It makes me think of Bob and all we are going through...not in a "I want you back and am sad about it" way, but in a "I wish I had been there for you when you needed me" kind of way.

If you are friends with me on Facebook, you will remember when I was looking for Cheap Concert Tickets I was having such a hard time.  One day I would log in and the lowest priced ticket would be $60, and then the next day I would find some for $25.  It was driving me crazy!  Thankfully, when I was actually ready to buy the tickets, I found them for around $33 each. I know all these artists want to make as much money as possible, but I think they should always have tickets available that even us everyday people who struggle with money can afford.

My sister is also going to the concert with a few of her friends.  They bought their tickets about 2 weeks before I got mine.  When Bob left, I was worried about transportation to the concert, so I asked my sister if we could ride with her.  Turns out, we are sitting exactly one row apart.  I seriously think God had a hand in that.  I mean, what are the odds?

Kasi's Christmas Concert

Last night, Kasi had her concert at school. They sang a variety of songs, and I found it interesting that here in the south, the schools are allowed to sing religious songs. I know growing up in New York, we weren't allowed to sing songs like that, but there were so many more religions up there. I am not saying that there are no Jewish or Catholic people in the south, but my kids have no idea what Hanukkah is, or that some people cross themselves when they pray. I know these things because in NY, my religion (baptist) was the minority.

Anyway, the concert was great, and Kasi did wonderful, as usual. She came home today and told me that when one of the girls in the chorus got home last night, her house was on fire. The house was a total loss, including all their Christmas gifts. They are taking up a collection at the school, but Junior doesn't get paid before Friday, so I won't be able to donate, which makes me sad. I wish I had something to give.

On a happier note, this is a picture of Kasi and her best friend, Jessica. She came to Brandi's party on Sunday, and fell in the mud. Fell and covered herself from head to toe with mud. I had to give her something of Brandi's to wear. (yes, the girl is 12, and so tiny that even Brandi's clothes were a little big for her) I was so worried her parents were going to be upset that she was so dirty, but they just laughed, and said it's typical of her.

I guess their Jessica is like our Kasi. No wonder they are best friends.

Taking A Wildwood Vacation

My kids love all the teen stars on the Disney Channel. I just found out that Radio Disney is doing a Summer Concert Series that will be held in Wildwood, New Jersey at Morey’s Piers. It starts in June and goes through August. I am looking into staying at a Wildwood New Jersey Motel so that I can take the kids to one of the concerts. I don't think they will care which starts they get to see. The concerts are free, which is awesome, and many Top Radio Disney artists will be performing.

I know my sisters who live in NY and NJ would want to meet me there, so we could make this a wonderful little family vacation. I was checking out the Morey's Piers website and it was so user friendly. There is so much information available. I can plan everything ahead of time, and that way we can schedule enough time for each activity.

Now I just have to talk Junior into taking another vacation.
