Decisions Have Been Made
Junior has been going to Del's, the produce guy's, house every day this week after work. He hasn't started the bathroom yet; Del has had him doing other things. He has two different sheds and a garage that he uses to store the produce. The other day he decided that he is going to attach the sheds to the side of the garage, remove the fronts, and make one long building. Each shed will still have three sides, so I don't really get how it's going to be one building, but that's what he wants. This means Junior will have to move the sheds, which is not an easy thing to do. Once they are all together, Del wants them all to have the same siding. He could get Dallas Siding and have it installed, but no, he wants Junior to do it. Before Junior had his shoulder surgery last year, he worked for Del a lot. Del paid well back then. I am hoping he does the same this year. So far this week Junior has made about $40, which isn't too bad considering he has only been there three days. He stayed maybe two hours each day, most of which was spent standing around discussing what needs to be done. They now have a plan, so Junior should be busy for the next couple of weeks.

Produce And A Bathroom
I used to run a produce stand. I think most of you know that already. I think I also shared about the guy wanting me to come back and run it this summer. The guy being Del, Junior's ex father-in-law. Maybe someday I will share the story of my little family being close to Junior's ex wife's family, but not today. Today I want to talk about produce.
Del has been toying with the idea of opening a produce stand for years. Two years ago, I ran a stand in his side yard the entire summer. I worked 12 hour days, and the kids always came with me. It wasn't so bad, but the kids would get hot and bored, and it got to be too much for them. I was thankful for the work, but was even more thankful when he decided to quit because he wasn't making enough money.
This summer he decided to give it a try again, and asked me to come run it. I had to tell him no, because I have other things going on right now. So he asked Junior to help, and he agreed. The first day Junior went over there, they were discussing all the things that needed to be done in order to open a "real" business. The one major obstacle they face is having a restroom available for public use. I had no idea, but it is the law that every business in the state of SC must have a public restroom. So it is now Junior's job to put a bathroom in one of Del's many buildings he uses to store the produce. I suggested hiring a Baltimore Plumber, but Del wants Junior to do the work. I guess we could use the extra money, but I know Junior's back, and I'm not sure it can handle a job like this.
I guess we'll just have to hope for the best.

Scratch
Not itchy scratch. Scratch, like when you sink the cue ball. I've been in there, there being my living room where my wonderful husband put the pool table, teaching Ryan to play pool. He's kinda getting it. Practice makes perfect. I tell him. So I guess we'll be practicing alot.I'm tired so this will be a quick entry. I worked hard today. Sold a ton of tomatoes, 3 lbs. for $1. You wouldn't believe how fast they sell at that price. Brandi goes back to the doctor in the morning. Keep your fingers crossed that everything is a-okay! I'll let you know tomorrow! Sweet dreams!!!

One Of Those Days
I have had one of those days. I woke up this morning in a bad mood, which should have warned me of the kind of day I was in for. There was no reason for my unhappiness, I went to bed happy last night. Maybe I just didn't get enough sleep. Who knows. Anyway, I had mentioned to Del months ago that my sisters were coming this weekend. I reminded him today that I would be unable to work Saturday, and most of next week. He responds with, "if I knew that, I wouldn't have opened the stand back up". Well, I don't understand how my schedule should have that much to do with his decisions. When school starts, I will ony work until around 2:30. I'm dreading telling him that. But, he did call me tonight, and he seemed in better spirits. Wanted to make sure I could work Friday. He was at the market buying more watermelons, okra and squash. Trying to find onions. Part of me hopes he does well this time, and part of me is secretly hoping he decides to close again. That could be because of my mood today. Who knows! Either way, Junior and I are indebted (is that the right word?) to them both. They have done so much for our little family. The pool table is still disassembled in my living room. I have no idea where to put the stupid thing. I was half convinced Junior was going to set it up while I was at work. He didn't. I guess there were some good parts of my day. All right. Brandi wants to go to bed. So I'm off!

Just Call Me Produce Girl
My oh my. I thought it was over. I thought I had my summer back. I thought I could spend the day with the kids, relaxing until school starts back. That's what I get for thinking. I thought wrong. Del has decided to re-open the stand. I will spend tomorrow making new signs. I need to be up there between 9 and 10 on Monday. Who knows how long it will last this time. I will definately be off starting next Saturday, and not go back until the following Friday. My sisters are coming down, and I want to spend every day with them. I don't see them nearly as much as I would like to. So every moment they are here is wonderful!!The power company came and fixed my meter today. No more worries about my house burning down. On the way to Del's this morning we had a flat tire, which is always fun. The tire can not be repaired, so we need to get a new one, which sucks. It's been less than a year since we bought those brand new. Oh well, what can you do?I am down to 6 cats. YEAH!!!! I had a kid stop yesterday and ask for more kittens. He was the one who took two of Sally's litter. I asked if his Mom was ok with him bringing home more cats, and he said she didn't care as long as he takes care of them. Turns out I know who his mom is, and will ask next time I see her to make sure he is taking care of them. Anyway, he wanted girls, but I only had one girl kitten. So he asked if he could take mama cats. Sure, he took Sally, Claire, the girl kitten, and a male kitten. I think he took the white one that has been missing, and now the black and white one is missing too. I don't really mind. I was wanting to find them a home anyway, and Junior knows where this kid lives and says he has a barn and stuff. The kid also said he has other cats and kittens, so mine will feel at home. So, that's about it. I did start a new book today. NO, not the new Harry Potter. I swear, I am SSSSOOOOOO tired of hearing about that stupid book!!!! Anyway, the book I'm reading is by Lisa Jackson and it is so good. I haven't read anything else of hers, but will definately check out the library next time I go.Okay, I'm really done this time. To quote the Terminator, "I'll be back!".

Believe It Or Not
I got a phone call today. It was Del. He wanted to know if I would sell produce tomorrow and Monday. If we weren't almost broke, I probably would have said no. The kids have missed half their summer and are not looking forward to sitting up there again. I have no idea what I will be selling. He said he got a good deal on watermelons, but not canteloupes. I guess we'll see tomorrow.Ryan went to spend the night with Brandon again. I'm glad they are becoming good friends.I got my power bill today. $81.08. Now, during the summer, the bill is usually around $135-$150. Remember back a few years. We had a serious problem with Duke Power and our bill. So Junior tells me to check the number on the meter. We go out there, and the thing is broken. It's not moving at all. My husband wants to see how long it takes for them to realize it. Not me. We've been screwed before. Besides, I'm afraid it will burn down my house if we're pulling power and it's not working right. So I win, and Junior calls. They are coming tomorrow to fix it. The lady on the phone guaranteed me it can not cause a fire. I hope she's right! So that's it. Have a wonderful Saturday and I'll be back tomorrow night!

Tootsie Rolls
I have finally found a moment to sit and write. We didn't get home last night untill after 9, then we had a "junk food party". I cooked cheese sticks, mini egg rolls, hush puppies, pizza rolls, taquitas, cheese toast (Texas Toast), and pierogies. We sat on the floor in the living room with all the food on the coffee table. Sounds fun, right? We didn't even eat half of it. I guess at some point today we'll be eating leftovers. Healthy, I know.Anyway, we went food shopping yesterday, and Junior found a big tootsie roll, which of course he had to buy for Carson. There is a back story to that which I might share someday with those of you who don't know it. Anyway, we went by Colleen's and he hung it on her door with ribbon. She said it was "funny as hell" to see it when she got home. We also stopped by Mom's last evening to drop off tomatoes and potatoes. She gave us money to buy our fishing lisences for our anniversary. She also wants to order next months Angel Food when we pick up this months on Friday. The menu for August looks pretty good. When I spoke to Colleen yesterday, she said a friend of hers form work had gone to Office Depot during lunch and got 2 bags of school stuff for under $2. She said they're having penny sales. So Junior and I go to the one in Spartanburg, and they don't know what we're talking about. They tell us to try Office Max. We go there and nothing. SOOO, we go to my Mom's and she says it's Staples. There is no Stables in Spartanburg. After we left my moms we went by Colleens to give her some produce, and I say....."are you sure it wasn't Staples?". Oh yeah, maybe. So anyway, I ask her to go to the one by her work for me and spend $5. She said she would. Today should be a little more peaceful. Junior and Ryan are working over at Del's, and me and the girls are home. My pool is still a mess so we can't swim. I might start cleaning bedrooms. I mean tear out all toy boxes and rearrange furniture clean. I need to go through their clothes before school starts anyway. So I guess I'm not accomplishing anything sitting here. Until next time....

My Last Day
I am unemployed! Del decided this morning that he needs to close the stand to deal with other things. He might re-open once he gets a "proper" building and has a septic tank put in. Who knows. All I know now is that I have the rest of the summer to enjoy my children. They are so happy not to have to spend every day up there. I can't blame them.Ryan is doing a whole lot better today. We still use the wheel chairs in the stores, which is pretty funny. He goes back Friday to have the stiches removed. I will not be going with him. I had to have my mom go with me when Kasi had hers removed. I can't handle those kinds of things.I'm off to bed. Sweet dreams!!

Massacre Complete
It was a sad, sad day. Hundreds perished. They tried to run. They died mid stride. Some escaped. I knew going in there would be survivors. Yes, I'm talking about the ants. When I got home there were tons of them. But no more. Hopefully they are gone for good.Del did not do good today. We were so slow. Last Saturday, he did over $350. Today, less then $225. Yesterday we did $340, so I don't know what's going on. I was falling asleep in my chair cause I was there alone. I was sooo bored. I tried reading the new Stephen King, but I'm having a hard time getting into it. I also ordered it large print by accident, and it bothers my eyes. I ended up walking to the store to buy a puzzle book. Junior was off with his Dad, and ended up hurting his back. He's all doped up on lortab. He needs the sleep, too.Speaking of his Dad, Grumpy has been hanging out at the stand. Even when Junior isn't there. It drives me nuts! But at least it gives him something to do.I have So much to do in the morning. I have worked every day this week and I have neglected the house. Hopefully I'll get the grass cut. It needs it. I need to do laundry and dust and all that good stuff. I want desperately to sleep in. We were going to go fishing tomorrow, but with his back hurting and the fact we don't have our new lisences yet, we're not going. The kids are dissappointed, but Junior is on vacation soon, so we'll make it up to them.I guess I'm gonna get off this thing. I'll write more soon!

Construction Zone...Hard Hat Required
Today was quite a day. Del made a few changes. He decided to move the stand back, farther away from the road. He hired a flat bed tow truck to come move the shed we keep all the produce in. I was so nervous. I couldn't watch. We were already set up, so we had to move all the tables and coolers out of the way. They were bunched up in the middle of the yard, and people still stopped. Or should I say, we sat there with no customers until Junior went to get me lunch. As soon as I started to eat, people stopped. And more people stopped. I never did get to eat hot food. Anyway, once the building was moved, Del decided to have gravel delivered to make a parking lot. They got two loads in, and will be back in the morning to deliver the rest. I won't have to go into work until Del calls. There is no point me going over if I can't set up. Maybe that will give me the chance to do some laundry and housecleaning in the morning. Even with all the craziness, we still made over $200 today. Not bad.I am tired. And hot. I just can not cool down. I haven't been able to shower yet cause Junior has been getting ready to go to work. Maybe that will help. I wanted to swim, but it was thundering when we got home. Hopefully we'll be able to swim in the morning a little.I really have nothing else to say. I'll be back tomorrow.

A Day Without Rain Is Like A Day Without
well, rain. And today was a day without rain. Finally. I got home around 7:30, and me and the kids got in the pool. Played around for a little while. I needed it today. I worked from 9 til 6:30 by myself. We took in close to $200, which isn't bad for a Tuesday. Last Tuesday we didn't have any customers, and we closed after 3 hours. Better and better every day. Tomorrow I need to be there by 11, but I will probably go in early. Junior has some things to do for Del in the morning and doesn't want to make two trips. Mom and Colleen said they would stop by. I'm excited to see Carson. Colleen said he's crawling! I can't believe it! He's getting too big too fast. Time for another one Colleen!I finished "The Good Guy" yesterday. It was really good. Dean Koontz used to write off the wall, Stephen King type stuff. This book was totally realistic. I guess that's why it was so easy to read. I started "Cross" by James Patterson this morning and am almost done with it already. He is so easy to read. Plus it's a good story. The last book I have is "Lisey's Story" by Stephen King. I need to get online and order more books before I have nothing to read.I guess I'll get off of here. I want to go watch a movie before bed. Hopefully I can find something good. Until tomorrow....

Realizations
Good Morning. I wanted to sleep in this morning, but I was up before 7. I've already finished cleaning the kitchen, and am about to go mow the grass. I realized a few things yesterday. First, I remembered what it's like to be on my feet for 10 hours. I have not worked in guite a few years, and I feel like my legs are rubber this morning. Second, when I commited to Del, I did not realize that he wanted me to work from 8am to 7pm every day. Except Sunday, of course. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind. I like being up there. It's tough on the kids. They get bored. I'm hoping we can get a little TV/VCR combo unit cheap enough on Friday when Junior gets paid. At least then they would be able to watch movies. Third, I will not be able to take the week off when Junior is on vacation. We weren't going to do anything spectacular anyway, and it's basically just to get Junior away from all the stress, at least temporarily. Jean said she spoke to her boss, and for Junior to go put in an application at Adidas, working 3rd shift. Depending on the type of work (Junior can't do HEAVY manual labor with his back) he might be switching jobs again. Which will send me into an absolute panic. Even though, somehow, things usually work out for us. It's still change, and I don't deal well with that. Anyway......I guess I'm headed outside. There is tons of yard work that needs to be done, including a shelter we're gonna build. We have all the material, it's just a matter of finding the time to do it. If we get it done today, I'll add pictures. Have a wonderful day!!!!!

Cha-Ching
We just got home. It has been a long day. I was there most of the day alone, although Jean helped off and on. We made .... drum roll please... $355! I'm so excited. We had a lot of repeat customers, and even more "word of mouth" customers. People are saying good things about us. Hopefully now that I can work all day during the week, we can get more "regulars". We seem to be making more money each day. I hope we can continue that trend! So that's about it. It's storming outside, so I need to get off this computer. I'll write more tomorrow! Sweet Dreams!!!!

Fridays Are Supposed To Be Good Days
I have officially become a produce girl. Not exactly sure how it happened, but it did. We're not talking pick a tray produce, today I graduated to "by the pound". It's not all that easy. Especially when there are people waiting. Yup, I had people waiting today. It's also the first day I made over $200 all by myself. YEAH, GO ME!Without going into the specifics, I will no longer be keeping Faith. It is probably for the better, but I'm gonna miss the little bugger! It also means that I will be doing the stand all day, every day. I can't complain though. Today I made $30 for 6 hours. Not bad. Junior took a week off starting the 9th of July, so I hope to be able to save the money I make so that we will be able to do something fun! My sister's are coming the first week of August, and I'm excited about that as well.I felt bad about myself this morning, and it took me quite a while to get out of my funk. Junior, the kids and I went to Taco Bell for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. 12 years today. Wow. Anyway, I felt a little better after we ate, and as the day went on I was okay. Now I'm good. I have accepted what I can not change, and I have decided that I do not need to worry about what others think. Yeah, right. I do feel better, and I will be even better tomorrow. Happy thoughts!

$4 Each, 2 for $7
I gotta tell ya. I am so tired of making signs. The prices change more often than the days. I will say that we had the stand looking good today. Tomorrow Del is going to get the license and permit, so the stand is here to stay. He told me today that I shouldn't worry about money. He said when he makes money, I will make money. Good money. I think I'm making pretty good money now. I work when I want, I get to bring my kids, and I get free produce. Plus he insists on paying me every day. I keep telling him he pays me too much, but he doesn't listen. I didn't end up with Faith today. She didn't want to come, so Nicole let her Mom keep her. I spoke to her before and she said she'll bring her in the morning. It will be good to get back on track. I am a very "routine" person. I don't like change. It makes me very anxious. I like things the same all the time. I panic if Junior mentions quitting his job. When he left TA, I was a wreck for weeks. It was for a better job, and a smart change, but still. If I have plans and they change, I go nuts. Crazy, I know. I accept it. It's who I am.My kids were so good today. Having something for Ryan to do every day is wonderful. He is such a big help. Growing up too fast. And responsible. And respectful. Wow, I must be a really good mom. Honk, honk!! (that was me tooting my own horn!) Anyway....I'm off to find something to eat. Have a marvelous evening. Enjoy your Friday!

A New Day
I hope today is a good day. I woke early and couldn't fall back asleep. I have this major zit coming out on the side of my face. You know the kind that hurt. It's not fun. The girls are still sleeping, but Ryan is up. I finally spoke to Nicole last night, and she said Faith was not herself all day. Faith said I made her cry because I tried to get her to take a nap. I tried to get her to lay down AFTER she started crying. Oh well, water under the bridge. I hope today she is in a better mood.I also spoke to Del last night and I'm sooooo happy. He said he had a good day yesterday and made around $200. That's the best Wednesday he's ever had! I guess Tuesday morning's just aren't going to be good. I hope, hope, hope I do good today. I feel bad since this is the first day, besides the 3 hours on Tuesday, that I am able to go up there. He didn't mention my new signs, so I hope he liked them. I used velcro this time so he would be able to change the prices without ruining the signs. They look pretty good, if I do say so myself!I guess I need to get motivated this morning. I have some hemming to do before I go to work. There's also a movie I want to watch. Yesterday I watched "Last Holiday" with Queen Latifah. It was pretty good. Today I want to watch "Scoop' with Woody Allen and Scarlett Johansen (however you spell it).Have a beautiful day!!!

Weekend Recap
This entry might be a little long, so go, get a snack and drink, and don't say that I didn't warn you!Let me start by saying that my dad LOVES peanut butter cookies with kisses on top. It was requested that I make some to bring for Father's Day. Friday night, I buy the stuff, planning to bake that night. I get home, fix supper, Junior goes to work, I get ready to start, no eggs. Now, for a normal person, they would just run to the store and get some eggs. Not me. One of the few times I've wished I had a license. So anyway, I figure I'd get eggs Sat, and bake that night. I was at the stand early that day, and didn't leave til after 8. We still had to run to wal-mart to find gifts, eat supper, and then go bake. So I decided to cheat. I bought 3 tubes of the slice and bake. We ended up not getting home til almost 11, and I didn't feel like doing it then. I asked Kasi if the cookie dough got put in the fridge. She said yes. I said "are you sure?" to which she replied, "yes". So we go to bed. I get up around 8 Sunday morning. The kids have planned breakfast in bed for Junior. I preheat the oven, open the fridge, no cookie dough. I wake Kasi and ask her where she put it. She looks at me and says, "it's still in the trunk!". I took a deep breath, didn't beat the crap out of her like I wanted to, just told her to go to her room. I know. I should have put the groceries away myself, then I would have noticed the missing cookie dough. But they do it all the time, and we've never had a problem. So now I have to wake Junior to take me to the store. We go to Ingles and pay twice as much for cookie dough, and now I'm wondering how I'm gonna bake them, let them cool, and get them to my dad. Since we were already out, I suggest going to Hardee's and getting biscuits. Good idea. Everyone's happy. The kids will do breakfast in bed next year. We left Kasi and Ryan home, so Junior, Brandi, and I go in to order. We get it to go. Spend $16.31. Now, I hate eggs. I will not eat them. I will not eat anything that touches the. They are slimy and gross. So I order myself a bacon and cheese biscuit. Before I go on, let me say that I have worked fast food. I know people make mistakes. BUT, while the girl was bagging our food, I saw the grill lady put a biscuit "up top" and say, "bacon and egg biscuit". The cashier puts it in my bag. I say, "excuse me, that should be a bacon and cheese, not bacon and egg". She takes the biscuit out, hands it back to the grill lady, saying it should be a b&c not a b&e. The grill lady replies, "oh yeah. It is b&c. I just said the wrong thing.". Again. I have worked the grill and have done that myself. Said one thing when I meant another. I didn't question it. That was my Mistake. We get the bag home, and you'll never guess what kind of biscuit I had. Yup, bacon and egg. Now I'm pissed. I call up there and tell the manager the whole story. I knew it was wrong, tried to get them to fix it, all of it. So the manager tells me to come back, she will replace the biscuit, and refund my whole order since I saw the mistake, pointed it out, and they still messed up. She said she just had to check with the other manager on duty. So the other one gets on the phone and asks, "can I help you?". I had to go through the whole thing again and am getting more and more mad. She says, "bring the wrong one back and I'll correct it." I say I tried to correct it while I was there and that I was still not happy. I told her to hold on and I put Junior on the phone. He says, and I quote, "I'm coming back up there, you'll replace the biscuit, and refund my money since you have already #%$@ed up my Father's Day." Now, for those of you who know my husband, he has a horrible mouth. I was surprised that was all he said. The manager hung up on him. I say, good for her. He was out of line. Anyway, he goes back and they have a new biscuit, a refund, and an apology waiting. The grill lady especially. They all kissed up to him. The manager apologized for hanging up on him, and said it was the best thing for her to have done in that situation. He agreed and apologized to her. All was happy. You can't beat free breakfast for Father's Day. By the time we get home, I have to rush, rush, rush to get everything done. The cookies never set right because I used peanut butter filled kisses. Those are the BOMB, by the way. I had to hem the shorts I wanted to wear. Get 3 kids bathed and dressed, plus Junior and Myself showered. In hindsight, I don't know why I bothered to shower. I was SWEATING by the time we left my dads. We made it there by 2, but couldn't stay long. We had other commitments, and Junior wanted to spend the day with the kids. We saw Grumpy for a little bit, and were supposed to meet up to fish that evening, but Grumpy never showed. Anyway, my dad's wife planned a scavenger hunt for the kids in the woods across from their house. It was a really fun idea, but it was rough hauling my fat ass through the woods for 100 miles. Okay, maybe it wasn't 100 miles, but by the end it sure did feel like it! My wonderful brother sabotaged (is that spelled right?) us and we couldn't find our last thing. The kids had fun though, and that's the important part. I put pictures of my "team" above. For those of you not related on my side, you probably don't know the kids in some of the pictures. I didn't realize at the time that I only took pictures of the girls! Anyway, Elaine has two daughters, Stefanie and Janice. Stefanie is married to Nick, and they have 2 kids, Brian and Emily. Janice is married to Steve, they have Olivia and are expecting their son in November. Julia and Ben are Steve's kids from his first marriage. Kasi loves Julia. They are a few years apart but get along well. After we left my dad's, we just spent the day as a family. We ended up fishing. We planned to stay and night fish, but Brandi got a little scared once it got dark. Then the snakes came out. Let me say I am not afraid of snakes, but I don't want one sneaking up on me in the dark. Brandi SCREAMED and ran for the car when we saw one in the water. At this point is was after 10 and I was ready to go. We packed up, and as we were leaving we saw a black snake in the road. Nicole, you would have loved it! (ha ha)My kids tasted their first root beer float. YUMMY! Jean and Del gave Junior some money for Father's Day, so it was nice to just be out and do things as a family for a day and not have to worry about every cent. So that was how we spent our weekend!Today I had the day off again. Del made the comment that he can't afford me every day. I told him I would help for nothing, but he won't let me. I was dressed and ready to go this afternoon when he called and said he wasn't going to open today. So I just put my bathiing suit back on and got back in the pool. That's where we have been all day. I should have been cleaning my house, but I can do that later! I guess that's it. I hope I didn't bore you. Have a great evening!

June Showers?
I think the saying is April Showers, but it has been raining every afternoon for the past few days. Bad for business. I wasn't that busy today, but the people who did stop, spent money. So in the end it was all good. I have added pictures of the stand and the signs I have been working on. As you can tell, today he cut prices, so I had to cut and tape. The original signs looked better, but what are ya gonna do?I also added 2 pictures of Boo and Faith. You can see that they are sitting in Brandi's closet. I was sitting at the computer, and it got real quiet all of a sudden. So I go looking for the girls. As I pull back the curtain on Brandi's closet, they both look at me with an Uh-oh look. They were in there sneaking fruit snacks! They looked so cute I had to laugh, and of course get the camera!I also put some pictures of my new roof. I know it looks good. I put one of the signs I make too. I am available to make them as gifts, for anyone interested. That's about it for my day. Tomorrow should be a good day. We usually sell lots on Fridays!

Happy Humpday
Good evening all. I have had an unusually calm and relaxing day. We were in the pool briefly this afternnon. It started storming around 2, and hasn't yet stopped. If I suddenly stop writing, it's cause lightning took out my computer, and possibly me with it. Anyway, Faith was good as usual, and my kids were as well. When Faith left, we went to order "Angel Food", which I will explain in a sec. After, we ran by the stand to see if Del had stuff out. He kinda did. I grabbed a canteloupe and some squash, and was almost out the door when he asked me to run the stand for "just a little" while he ran to check on a new building. How could I say no? So me and the girls stayed for about an hour. Junior, Ryan, and Del ran to price a new building that will have running water and a, drumroll please, BATHROOM! No more walking to Little Cricket to pee. Hopefully he will decide on one soon.Okay, so back to "Angel Food:". Churches in the area offer boxes of food for $25. My mom has been telling me about it for years, and we finally found a thrift store where we can order a box. You can get as many as you want. This is the menu for July:(1) 4 lb. chicken thighs (1) 16 oz. gourmet bean soup(1) 12 in. supreme pizza (1) 24 oz. home-style hash browns(1) 2 lb. banguet lasagna dinner (2) 7 oz. healthy steamed and seasoned veggies(1) 1 lb. chicken breast fajitas (1) 7.5 oz. mac & cheese(1) 12 oz. philly steak portions (1) 16 oz. frozen baby carrots(1) 2 lb. popcorn chicken (1) 16 oz. california blend veggies(1) 16 oz. smoked sausage (1) each dessert item(1) 10 ct. flour tortillas (1) each dozen fresh eggs(1) 2 lb. fresh yellow onionsThat is a lot of stuff for $25. You can also order special meat deals for between $17 and $18, as long as you purchase the box. The menus change every month. We're going to try it and see.I'm gonna have Faith in the morning, and be at Del's by 1. He got an order for 50 watermelon that he needs to deliver by 11am Friday. He's going to go to Columbia tomorrow evening, so he asked me to close up for him. I'm not sure if I already wrote that I made signs the other day. Tomorrow I'll try and take some pictures. They look pretty good. The only downside is that he wanted the prices on them, and we all know how often he changes the prices. I guess I'll be cutting and taping and covering things up. Either way, it's all in a days work.My house is still clean. Miracles do happen! Not sure how it will hold up tomorrow. I'm getting lazy again. It was bound to happen!Well, Brandi wants me to lay in bed with her, and I think I just might be in the mood for a little snuggle time. Until next time....

Mixed Blessing
Good evening! I have been busy, busy, busy. Got up around 8, showered, fixed lunch and snacks for the kids, feed kiddos breakfast, and off we went. Paid the power bill on the way to work. Yeah, we will have lights for one more month! Okay, seriously, I'm in a mood. A good mood. I've been cleaning, cleaning, cleaning since I got home. It feels good to have the ENTIRE house clean at one time! Not that I expect it to stay this way long! Anyway, Nicole and I had a talk today and I will no longer be taking Faith with me to work. This is my mixed blessing. I hate to dissappoint Del, (who was very understanding, by the way) but I like the idea of hanging around the house a little. I have not had time to sit and relax lately. The kids are happy since they will get to enjoy the pool more often. I will not get behind in the housework, I can enjoy my kids, and I will still be able to work evenings for Del. It all works out! I started a new book yesterday. It's the newest Mary Higgins Clark called "I've Heard That Song Before". So far it's okay. I'm not too into it where I can't put it down, but it has my attention. I still have the newest Dean Koontz, but I want to wait to read that one until I can devote one whole day to it. Maybe a Sunday soon. Father's Day is this weekend. We will be stopping by my dad's, Junior's dad's, Del's, and then the kids want to do something special with Junior. We'll probably go out to eat somewhere. Maybe even do a little fishing! I know Junior would love that!
