Wordless Wednesday ~ 6/17

My girls. Don't they look tired? Well, Boo does. I snapped this picture about 10 minutes ago. I am trying to convince them to go to bed early, if you consider 11:30pm early. They want no part of it, though. They are my little night owls.

Wordless Wednesday ~ 4/29

I took this picture Sunday when the kids were playing in the sprinkler.
Our nice weather has continued since then, with highs in the 80's.
I think we're looking at rain in the next few days, which is going to stink because we have our zoo trip planned for this weekend.
Hopefully the storms will move through quickly, and we will have sunny skies by Saturday

Brandi has a lot of "little people". You know, the play people who are a few inches tall? She also has a ton of accessories that go with them. This is her school. Ginger likes to curls up inside and sleep. Of course, as soon as he saw me grab the camera he got up, but I got a pretty good shot anyway.

I took this picture of Kasandra at the zoo a couple of weeks ago. Isn't she beautiful? I just know she will give me some gorgeous grandbabies someday. Hopefully many, many years from now, though.

We went to our town's Christmas Parade this evening. It was pretty cold.
This is me and little butt, aka Brandi Rose, waiting for the parade to begin.
It lasted about an hour, and of course ended with Santa's float.
I tried taking pictures of the floats as they went by, but all I ended up with are blurry messes. Oh well. I tried.

Can you see those eyes? Ginger decided she wants to hang out in our Christmas tree! She's lucky she's cute! I am just hoping and praying that she doesn't knock it over. I think I may have to tie it to the wall somehow.

Kasi is home today. She's not sick, just taking a personal day.
Actually, her whole class had field trip today that I refused to pay for, so instead of sitting in one room all day doing work with the other kids who didn't go, I let her stay home.
They were going to see a FREE play that they wanted each kid to pay $25 for ~ so they could eat fast food afterwards. Sorry, but not happening.
She didn't really care, either, since she gets a day to lay on the couch and watch SAW3.

Wordless Wednesday ~ 9

We do not have a dog, but we do have a doghouse. It is where my outside cats sleep. The past few nights it has been in the 30s, and the cats have been snuggling up together in the doghouse, which sits right outside my front door. When we headed out to the bus stop this morning, the cats didn't even move. (usually they are underfoot, begging for breakfast) I snapped this picture, and they didn't even flinch. It must have been really warm all snuggled up together! For those who read regularly, ivan never left, so he is officially our kitty now!

Wordless Wednesday ~ 8

Most of my regular's will remember the story I wrote a few weeks ago about the woman who followed my hubby home. Well, ryan asked if hubby would help him build a coffin, as decoration for his halloween party friday night. My two men worked hard on monday night, and together they built this wonderfully creepy coffin. I'm not sure what we will be doing with it, but it allowed father and son to spend quality time together, and they needed that. They also built me 2 eight foot long tables to put all the food and stuff on outside. I just hope the rain holds off until after the party.

Here is another picture of brandi and her bff, faith. Even though they are 3 years apart, they get along great! Aren't they adorable? Faith fits right in with my kids. When we go out together, people think they are sisters. I hope as they grow older they stay just as close.

This is a picture from the zoo on sunday. They have this exhibit where you can buy a cup of nectar, and go in a huge cage and feed the birds. As you can see, they land right on you! This is my arm, holding brandi's cup. She totally freaked when the birds got too close to her. I think it's really neat. This is my favorite thing about going to this zoo, besides the elephants, of course!
