Last week, I decided to do a little facebook experiment. I had about 230 friends, and I was happy. Then I started applying to do some reviews, and it mattered how many friends you have. Apparently, the more friends you have, the better the reviews you get to do.
So....I decided to see how many friends I could get over the weekend. I am friends with a lot of fellow bloggers to begin with, so I thought that was a good place to start. So I sent out friend requests to the bloggers whose blogs I love. And then facebook started recommending other people "I might know", and I was hooked. I was sending friend requests to freebie and coupon sites (which are AWESOME) and then to bloggers I found through other bloggers. How did I not know that this is a great way to network????
Right now, I have 501 friends! That's over 271 friends in one week. My goal was to get to 500 friends, and then wait a couple of weeks before reaching out again. I am finding so many awesome blogs and sites that I never would have found otherwise. I am even having people send me friend requests, which rarely ever happened in the past.
Oh, Facebook, how did I not know that there is more to you than games????

Go Ahead, You Know You Like Me
I have be seeing a lot of people setting up facebook pages for their blogs, so I figured I would jump on that bandwagon and make one for this blog. When I went to enter the name of my blog as my kids are my world, I got a message saying someone else has claimed that so I couldn't use it. Weird. So, I just added the "blog' on the end, and it went through.
I am not sure what I am supposed to do now. Do I just post the links to my posts? And is that kind of overkill since all my posts auto-post to my facebook page? Send me some advice, those of you who have a page for your blog. Or those who don't. It doesn't matter. I just need a little guidance.

Cute Kitty

Check out my newest little kitty in Happy Pets. Isn't she adorable? I spend way too much time with these guys, but I just can't help it. I mean, you never know what you are going to get when you breed them. And they are soooo cute!
Oh, and if you're on facebook, come find me. We could be friends :)

Oh, Facebook, Why Must You Be So Frustrating?
Every morning when I wake up, one of the first things I do is get online. I check my email, see if I have any pending opps, then it's on to Facebook. This morning was no different.
However, when I logged into Facebook, it wouldn't let me. It kept saying invalid email.
Weird.
So I tried a bunch of different things, and nothing. But, somehow, I started a new profile with the same email address, so now my old profile is inaccessible. And, apparently, having two facebook accounts is against their terms of service, so now I am a rule breaker.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to contact the people at Facebook? It took me for-ev-a to find the right screen, and then I get an email saying they get too many requests, and that it could take them a while, if ever, to respond to my problem.
What the hell am I supposed to do now? Any ideas????

Happy Puppy!
I know you guys are probably tired of hearing about my current facebook obsessions, but I just had to share a picture of my Happy Pets. It used to be that you would buy kittens, and they would grow into cats. Yesterday, or the day before, I forget which, they added a new feature where you can breed your cats. I now have three baskets, each holding a baby kitten I will get to see in a few days. Then this evening, they finally unlocked the puppies! Check out my little white one. Isn't she cute?

The Perfect Game For Me
I keep telling myself that I am not going to start playing anymore games on facebook. BUT, I found this one all about kittens and cats, so I could I not play? Check out my cats:

Right now I have three. The black one is Hambone, the white one is Lucky, and the blue leopard is Pinky. I have the option of changing their names, but I kinda like the ones they came with. For right now, I can only have three cats. I can not wait to level up, because they have the cutest long haired kitties that I want to adopt.
Oh, the game is called Happy Pets.
You know you want to play, too.

My Cafe

Like I needed another facebook game to keep me busy! My newest obsession is Cafe World. I love making the food, and serving the customers. I love buying things for my cafe, and rearranging the furniture. If you play, come by and be my neighbor!

Why, Facebook, Why?
Dear Facebook,
Why do you have to have such fun games to play, tempting me day after day.
It started so innocently with BubbleTown.
Then came the farm games. Oh, how they were so fun to play! It was my dream to reach level 34 so I could own a mansion, and when I accomplished that dream...wow. It was a proud day.
Then came the fish games. Oh how I love my little swimmers! I feed them often, and keep the tanks clean...and am rewarded with happy little fishies.
And now, I have been sucked in again. This time it is the cafe.

I am cooking and decorating, and it's only my first day.
I am already on level six.
I think I might have a problem, Facebook. I think I might need for you to stop putting out all these fun games.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Jenn
p.s. feel free to reply. You can find me standing over my stove...

Another New Addiction
I hate Facebook. I hate all the games on facebook. I really hate that I get sucked into these games, and can't stop playing them. Thankfully, for the most part, unless they add something new, I am over Farm Town. But, I traded Farm Town for Fish World. Here is a look at one of my tanks:

Filler

I am bad about getting addicted to games on facebook. Thanks to Jenera, I am now totally addicted to Filler. The concept is simple...you have to make balls, but you can't let the balls you are making touch any of the bouncing balls. Once they are made, they can touch, but not while they are "filling". You clear a board when you sill 70% of the board with balls you made. I made it to level 50 last night, and had to quit because my eyes were crossing. I got to level 54 this afternoon, but had to quit to go run errands. I am hoping one day to have enough time to see how far I can go before I die. Up until now, I haven't even gotten close to dying.
If you are on facebook, check out this game.

High Cotton

Okay fellow farmers. Did you notice the changes today? The new fruits and veggies are great, but I am ecstatic now that I can hire people to plow my fields. That was the worst part for me. I hated plowing, and now I don't have to do it. It's also cheaper. If I plow, it's 20 coins. If I hire a stranger, it's only 15 coins, and I still get the experience point. If I hire a neighbor to plow, it only costs 10 coins! So not only do I not have to do the work, but it costs me less money.
I just wish they would make the farms bigger.

So There...Whatever
I guess I'm supposed to be offended and hurt, but I'm not.
The same chick that left the other comment, responded to mine with this:
Nobody buys there way out of a conviction.. The charges were unfounded and the family was paid for whatever reason.. That does not make it nice to say that you wouldnt care about somebody dying. And if you felt attacked that is your own guilty conscience!
...and then de-friended me on Facebook...
...and I couldn't care less.
She just proved how mature she is.
Or not.

Um....Wow
I was just totally attacked on Facebook.
I put this in my status today:
Am I the only person who doesn't care that a guy who molested kids has died?
Apparently I am not allowed to express my opinion, but everyone else on Facebook can.
This is what one person wrote:
Wow that is when sometimes you should keep your opinions to yourself. He was never charged with a crime and I do not believe any mother would except money if her child's purity was stolen from them. Hard to believe you come from such a religious family. If you don't like what people are posting on facebook then don't sign on and read it. I really feel bad for you that you could not care that a person was taken off this earth so soon!
This is what I replied:
I never said I didn't like what other people were posting, I just said i didn't care that he died. If you think that makes me a horrible person, so be it, but don't attack the way I was raised because you have a different opinion. I never said I was glad he died, I just said i didn't care. There is a big difference there. We are all entitled to our own opinions, and I had no idea that my one little comment would get so many people pissed off. If you have a problem with who i am and how i was raised by one little thing I wrote, then you are the one being judgmental.
Just so you all know...Michael Jackson contributed to the music industry. There is no question about that. I love his music, I just don't think the world should stop spinning because he died. I do believe he molested kids. I am allowed to believe that, just like the people who believe he was innocent are allowed to believe that. That's what makes this country so great. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don't think it has anything to do with the way I was raised. I don't care what other's have written, and I didn't comment on their status and attack them. She should heed her own advice, and not read my facebook page. Just my opinion.

Mom's Status
I was a bad girl today.
I got my moms password for facebook, and went in and changed her status.
See, we always tease her about my youngest sister being her favorite, so I put that on her status.
She claimed she is going to change her password now, but we'll see.
I'll wait a few days, and then try again. :)

Facebook Quizzes
I'll admit it. When I am bored, I take facebook quizzes. I now know what celebrity will be my husband (johnyy Depp) and which LOLcat I am (the cookie one). I took the "what movie musical leading lady are you?" and my result was:
Mary Poppins

Networking
Do you like to network? There are numerous sites out there where you can connect with people, and sometimes it is hard to find a site specific to your interests. I have, however, found a site you should check out if you love to scuba dive. It's called DiveBuddy.com - Online Scuba Community. You can socialize with people who share your love of the water.

Facebook, Rediscovered
While using my old computer, I was unable to enjoy the games on facebook, so I started looking for people. I found old friends from school who I haven't seen in years! I also got my behind handed to me in a game of scrabble...thanks anna! She is a human dictionary! Now I have my computer back, and I can play bubbletown again! I know, such little things make me happy!

Cousins
Have I ever mentioned how much I love facebook? Not just for bubbletown or parking wars, but for it's ability to connect you to people?
My dad joined a week or two ago. Through him, I have reconnected with 7 cousins on that side of the family. Most of these cousins I haven't seen in years! One I have never met, and he's a teenager now!
I also found one of my cousins from my mom's side of the family. I was especially close to her family growing up, and remember when my aunt was pregnant with her. It was great to see the woman she has grown up to be, and to see pictures of her children.
