Yesterday was Mother's Day, as I am sure you all know. I was showered with lots of home made cards from my girls, with a hug thrown in from Ryan. I have to say, I love the hand made stuff so much more than anything they could have bought me at the store. That said, I certainly did enjoy my cookie cake that the girls decorated for me, thanks to my mom.
I know there are moms out there who received Mother's Day Flower Delivery, and I hope someday when my kids are grown and on their own that they might remember me on Mother's Day with some flowers. I also hope that they look up ProFlowers coupon codes online before making a purchase. I forget sometimes that you can find all kinds of coupons, not just ProFlowers coupons, online and save money.
I spent my Mother's Day with my mom and my kids. My mom took all of us to the zoo, and you all know how much I love going there. I took lots of pictures, this one being my favorite:
Yes, that is me and my babies (who aren't babies anymore) posing on and around an elephant statue. This is my family now, and I couldn't love them more.

A Song About Me
This is the home made wrapping paper Brandi made to wrap my Mother's Day gift in. Inside was a folder filled with songs that she wrote about me. That's right. My 8 year old wrote me songs for Mother's Day. Here is one of them:
Your smile makes me wild even when I only see your face
I think my world is a race
cause you're beautiful
I love you mom
You are the best ever
I love you oooohhhh I love you
You are the mom I love
And want and hope I am with you forever
and ever and ever
I love you, yeah, oh yeah
How totally adorable is that? She put in all the oohs and yeahs, and totally melted my heart.

For A Special Mother
How cute are these little candles?
We needed a small gift for a family friend (Junior's ex-mother-in-law) so I let the kids each pick out a candle for her. Each heart was $.70 each, and the candles were $.25 each. Less than $1 each, and she loved them.
And they smelled so good!

My New Flower
Junior's ex-father-in-law gave me this beautiful purple flower for Mother's Day. (one of these days I'll do a post about my relationship with them) Isn't it beautiful?!? He was selling all kinds of flowers at his produce stand, and he said I could pick whichever I wanted, and of course I fell in love with his purple one. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life who made me feel special this Mother's Day.

What Do I Want For Mother's Day?
I have been thinking a lot about Mother's Day, mostly because Junior keeps asking me what I want. If I'm being honest, I would tell him I want jewelry. We have been married for almost fifteen years, and my engagement and wedding rings are the only pieces of jewelry he has ever given me.
I know he can't afford to spend much, so I was looking for reasonably priced jewelry, and found this gorgeous pendant. I love that it has five diamonds. Each one represents a member of my little family.
I heard you just say "awww". I did too. I bet that you can't tell that the diamonds are made in Diamond Nexus Labs and that they are not "real" diamonds. I couldn't tell. They sparkle and shine like "real" diamonds, and I don't think people would know they weren't the real thing.
The next time Junior asks what I want for Mother's Day, I am going to point him to this necklace. I want it to be from him. I still want the kids to shop for me themselves, even if it means another purple sparkly pen and elephant.
Because I love those gifts more than anything.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bliss Living. All opinions are 100% mine.
I love being a mom. Growing up, when someone asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always answered "a mom". I know they meant careers, but I have never been a career kind of girls. I always just wanted to be a mom. I guess you could say I am living my dream.Mother's Day is coming up soon, and I have been thinking a lot lately about what I would like for my kids to get for me. As much as I love and cherish the home made things I get every year, I think this year I want something I can wear. Maybe some jewelry.
I was looking at Bliss Living Jewelry online, and I found the most beautiful necklaces. The problem is I can not decide which one I like best. The first one I found is this Mom's Name Charm Necklace. These little circle pendants have your child's name on one side, and birth date on the other. They also have a little bead representing their birthstone. I adore this.
The other one I was looking at was this Open Heart Pendant Necklace with Birthstones, and although it doesn't have the kids names and birth dates on it, it is still beautiful. I was thinking this would be a nice gift for my mom, with all of her grand children's birthstones on it. Then I got to thinking; she has fifteen grandchildren. I would have to get two separate hearts to hold them all! I guess I could put the boys on one and the girls on the other. I am glad I still have a few weeks to decide.I should probably mention that if you spend over $99, you get free shipping. That won't be hard to do, either, because there are so many wonderful necklaces and rings and other things to choose from. I am sure you will be able to find the perfect gift for the special mom in your life.

The Things We Do For Our Kids
Brandi, my sweet child.A friend of her's at school always wears beautiful bows in her hair. Brandi asked her where she gets them, and her friend said her mom makes them. Brandi asked her if her mom would make one for me, that said "mom" on it, for Mother's Day. The friends mom said yes, and I was presented with this HUGE pink for my hair, that Brandi insisted I wear ALL DAY today.
How could I say no?
So, this is what the back of my head looked like all day, from breakfast to suppertime. I love her so much, I didn't want to hurt her little feelings by not wearing it.
But man, was I ever happy to get home and let my hair down! lol!

Yellow Roses
I love yellow roses.I think this arrangement is absolutely beautiful, even if the roses are more orange than yellow. The combination of them and the pink lilies is perfect.
This is the Mother's Embrace arrangement, and you can find this and other beautiful mothers day flowers at 1800flowers.com.
And Honey, if you're reading this, consider it a hint.

My Mother's Day
I have had a wonderful Mother's Day! The kids fixed me breakfast and served it to me in bed. Ryan says "it's only 11 points!". I had a bagel with cream cheese, an oatmeal cookie, a cup of peaches, a yougurt, and an ice cream sandwich! I ate the bagel, cookie, and ice cream. Who doesn't love ice cream for breakfast?! Then we went fishing. Kasi and I each caught one fish. When we got home, my mom came and we spent the day together. We went to Wal-Mart, Junior cooked hot dogs on the grill, then we played canasta. I won one game and Mom won one game. The kids were busting to give me my gifts last night, so they did at about 11pm. Look above to see my beautiful flowers. I am very blessed to have such wonderful children and an equally wonderful husband. Thank goodness I am actually felling better today. We are having my dad and his wife over tomorrow night for tacos. Kasi got to pick supper since it's her birthday. I can't believe she will be 10! So that's about it for my day. Survivor finale tonight. I'm excited to see who wins. Stay tuned....

Time To Kill
I still feel like crap. I don't want to lay down, cause I'm afraid I'll fall asleep and miss ER. I haven't missed an episode yet, and I won't let tonight be the first. I haven't thrown up in a while, so hopefully I'm over that. Kasi is disappointed that we postponed her parties, but I promised to make it better next week. My mom refuses to come on Sat. cause she doesn't want to get sick, and I don't want to get Carson sick, so I postponed that party as well. My only dilema (is that right?) with next week is that we were planning our yard sale for Sat. I guess I'll have to set things up and leave Junior out there while I feed all the girls breakfast. I think there will be closer to 15 girls coming next week. I must REALLY be insane! I am excited about Mother's Day. I wasn't in the beginning of the week, but the kids have been sneaking things into the house that they've made in school. I LOVE the homemade stuff. It comes straight from their little hearts.Okay Survivor Fans. I was soooooo happy that Yau-Man played his idol tonight. If Stacy had kept her mouth shut during tribal, he may not have. But saying that the vote was going to be divided was stupid on her part. She basically told Yau they were voting for him. I really hope he wins. We'll see on Sunday. They were showing previews for the new pirate show that looked pretty interesting. At least it will be something to watch during the summer. The Next Food Network Star search starts in June and I am looking forward to that too. I had no trouble with the WW today. I think I used 2 points on the piece of toast I ate about an hour ago. I am starving but afraid to eat. Junior is having a rough time this week. He is such a junk food addict, as am I. Only difference is that he is giving in to the cravings EVERY day. Tami says that is okay as long as he counts his points. I say eventually he will need to give some things up. I guess time will tell. I've got about 30 minutes until ER starts and I think I might hop in the shower. Maybe the steam will help me feel better. Until tomorrow.....
