I know there is a lot of controversy concerning stem cell research. To be honest, I do not know enough about the specifics to make an informed decision. I do know, however, that if there was a way for me to use my own blood to maybe cure a future disease I may get, I am going to look into it. That is where C'Elle comes into play. According to their website, they collect your menstrual blood and cryo-preserve it for potential use in the future. Their website also says, "These menstrual stem cells are unique because they have many properties and characteristics similar to both bone marrow and embryonic stem cells; they multiply rapidly and can differentiate into many other types of stem cells such as neural, cardiac, bone, fat, cartilage and possibly others; demonstrating great promise for future use in clinical regenerative medical therapies." Not only will these cells be potentially beneficial to you, they may also be used on close family members, who are related by blood, like a parent, sibling, or child. Again, I do not understand the science behind this technology, but it does sound promising. It can potentially treat heart disease, diabetes, and stroke, among other things.
What greater gift is there to give yourself, or your children, than the gift of life? Okay, maybe that's stretching it a bit, but if you can have the potential, even the tiniest bit of hope, of helping treat future illnesses you may have, why not take the opportunity? Right now, just for speaking to a representative, you will receive a free gift. What have you got to lose?
