June seems to be the month for all the great shows to come back. Number one on my list is True Blood. (yay Jenn!) This is the show about vampires who drink synthetic blood instead of killing people, so they can live in the "real" world. I loved the first season, and am excited to see what they do with the second. I actually watched the first season before I read the Twilight series, and was shocked at the similarities. If you haven't seen this show yet, check it out.
Season premeire: June 14, 9pm

Next on my list is The Next Food Network Star. I love watching the challenges they put the contestants through. My favorite past winner is Guy Fieri. But, to be honest, I voted for the guy he was up against, whose name I can not even remember. He was a huge black man who I just loved. Oh, I wish I could remember his name! Anyway, it should be interesting to see who this year's contestants are.
Season premeire: June 7, 9pm

Last but not least is Weeds. I love this show! I was pretty bummed last season when they got rid of Romany Malco's character and moved everyone to Mexico. They left off last season with Nancy informing the guy who wants her dead that she is carrying his baby. I wonder what's going to happen with all that?.
I really like Justin Kirk, who plays Andy. I think he steals every scene he is in.
Season premiere: June 8, 10pm

I don't get HBO, so I can't see True Blood or Weeds?? :(
But I do love Next Food Network Star, and what happened to the last winner?? Haven't heard a peep after his few shows aired. Was it Aaron? I think the show was "Big Daddy's House" or something like that, but I watched a few, and then never saw them again??
I've just started watching So you think you can dance, too...love that show.
If you liked True Blood, definitely read the Southern Vampire Series (aka the Sookie Stackhouse Series) by Charlaine Harris. It's the series the show is based off of. Book 1, Dead Until Dark, is essentially season 1 of True Blood, and Season 2 will be based on book 2, Living Dead In Dallas. The 10th book of the series just released, and I read it overnight. They're one of my favorite series, and I couldn't put them down! A friend had recommended True Blood to me, and I couldn't stand not knowing what was going to happen until the following week so I read the books. They're very similar, but different also. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!
Great shows. True Blood is awesome and the books are even better. Can't wait.
OhMyWordGirl!! I bought the first season of TrueBlood....HAhahaa...I've read All the Sookie books and the series is pretty close to it...a bit Raunchy though!!!
