May is National Stroke Awareness Month. I have had personal experience with a stroke victim. My father-in-law has had numerous strokes, and it was always hard to see the effects they had on him. The most recent messed up his speech, and it is really difficult to understand what he is saying sometimes. His doctors say his speech could improve, we'll just have to wait and see.
I had no idea that stroke is the leading cause of disability in the United States. This is according to the National Stroke Association. Another scary statistic is that this year, 100,000 young and middle aged women will have strokes. I don't know about you, but I want to know what I can do to help myself if it happens to me.
This is where C’elle can help. Most of you have probably heard of them because of their cord blood bank. Did you also know that there are also stem cells found in your menstrual blood, and that they are used to treat more than seventy five diseases and disorders? Stroke is one of them. They will mail you all the things you need to collect your blood, and they will store it for your future use. You can learn more on their about page. I know this may not be for everyone, but just think of it as an investment in your future, and the future of your family members. If you are interested, check out their order now page. This may be the best decision you make concerning your future health.
