Already Planning For Next Summer

I can not believe it is August already. Where did the summer go? The kids go back to school two weeks from today. Most families are trying to squeeze in one more vacation before then. I know we are.

Junior and I have been discussing where we will go on vacation next year. I know we have a trip to New York planned for when my sister Christens Jake, but we have nothing planned for the summer yet. I am pushing to stay at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. These hotels are right across the street from each other, and are located in the heart of downtown Branson. There are activities for every member of the family, from golf for the guys to shopping for the ladies. The kids can have fun deciding which theme park to visit. I am leaning towards Silver Dollar City; a theme park showcasing what life was like in the 1800's. They have one of a kind hand made furniture you can purchase, and I would love to see what they have to offer.

As a family, we can check out the light show in the fountain, set to music. I bet that is awesome to see. There are also a variety of shops and boutiques to explore, as well as the lake. If I know my husband, he will find somewhere to go fishing. We can't take a vacation at all unless there is fishing.
