If I'm Buying A New Dryer, I May As Well Get The Matching Washer, Right?

I hate doing laundry.  There are five people living in my house, and that equals a lot of dirty laundry.  Just washing towels can be overwhelming.  It doesn't help matters that my dryer is living on borrowed time, and it takes two cycles most of the time to dry a single load of laundry.

Sigh.

We are trying to hold off until next year to buy a dryer, which means I can look at washing machines, too.  I mean, Junior can not expect me to get a new dryer without a matching washer.  I really want front loading machines.  My mother and sisters all have them, and they only have good things to say.  They are more expensive to buy, but they pay for themselves over time by using less water.  I was looking at some zanussi washing machines online, and found this really pretty graphite one. (in the picture) If you know me at all, you know that white appliances are not my thing, so this washer is perfect for me.

I also found some pretty nice looking hotpoint washing machines, too.  I know price is going to play a big factor in what we finally decide to get, but I am hoping there will be enough in the budget for one of these.

I just need to convince Junior to look at them as more of an investment in our future power and water bills.  I mean, they are energy efficient.
