I don't make a lot of money. In fact, there are weeks when all of my paycheck goes towards bills, and there is no extra money for fun stuff. This just so happens to be one of those weeks, which means the kids and I are stuck in the house, watching netflix and just relaxing. I am not opposed to weekends like this, especially after a busy week at work. But, the kids get bored, and that makes them cranky, and then they start fighting, which makes me lose my temper.
It's days like today, when the kids are getting on my last nerve, that I wish I made more money so we could at least get out of the house. I'm not talking about hanging out in North Carolina Country Clubs, but being able to go out out eat, or to the park, or even just for a drive would be wonderful.
Since I don't have money to do any of that today, I am going to lock myself in my room, away from the kids, and ignore the fighting. It's either that, or spend my day playing referee, and I'm just not up to that today.
