Tuesday News

I went back to the doctor today. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was surprised when he said we will wait and see what happens. I go back Feb. 21. Three more months. The good news? It's nothing major.....no cancer. He seems to think it's either still a little celulitis, or just fluid buildup. He was pretty funny. He compared it to a woman's ankles swelling. He said when that happens, you elevate your foot. Then he says, and I quote, "it's not like you can sling your breast over your shoulder". I wanted to die. I'm just glad hubby kept his smart ass comment to himself, instead of blurting out.."sure she can!" (not that I can....I'm not THAT big) Anyway, he wants to see what happens over the next 3 months. He said to come back in if it gets worse, or if the constant pain comes back. After Christmas, I really need to diet, seriously.Maybe getting some of this weight off will help if it is fluid. There was one good thing though....my BP was 139/68. Not high at all.Nicole came over this afternoon and we played canasta. I'm so glad I taught her how to play. It used to be only my mom would play with me, but I don't see her every week. Now I have someone close to play with! I let her take 2 ornaments off my tree for hers. It seems to be like a tradition. People come over, and they take ornaments home with them. I don't mind....I like sharing the things I make.The kids are out of school until Monday. The girls made some Christmas chains with my gift from amy, and they came out so cute. I'll have to post some pictures, maybe tomorrow. I did a little shopping today...got a few things for their stockings. It seems to be a southern tradition to fill the stockings with candy. My parents never did that. Hubby and I compromise, half candy, half useless cheap toys. That's what Dollar Tree is for!Oh, I almost forgot the funniest thing! When we were in the doctor's office today, hubby sat down and SPLIT HIS PANTS!!!! He had to walk out with his shirt pulled down to cover his butt! It was hysterical! I'm laughing now just thinking about it!I guess I'm off to bed. Have a good night, my friends.
