The Year In Review
I'm sure people everywhere are reflecting on this past year. I do believe the older you get, the faster time goes by. I can't believe we are welcoming in a new year, full of hope and promise. In 2007......I turned 35. Not really a big deal, because I still feel younger....we finally found the right dosage for ryan's medicine, and he is doing so well in school....we took a vacation. It was only for 3 days, but aside from weddings, it was the first real vacation we've taken as a family. I am definitely looking forward to doing it again this year, only for a week this time....I ran a produce stand. I now know there are many different types of watermelons, tomatoes, peaches, onions, the list goes on and on. I was helping out good friends of ours, and it was a wonderful experience....I became friends with a woman who was a friend of my husbands family growing up. Follow that? She is a wonderful person, and I'm honored to call her my friend....I started blogging. My sis-in-law started doing it, and my sister colleen thought it would be something I would be good at. Here I am, almost a year later, and I love it. I love interacting with strong, funny, intelligent, and honest women. When I started, nobody read me. Then I joined this amazing meme, thursday thirteen, and made wonderful friends. I love that I can be me, and I'm not judged by my appearance, just by what I write. That's a wonderful thing!...brandi started full day kindergarten, and I survived. Some people didn't think I would!...my sister cheryl found out she was expecting her second child....I found out I don't have breast cancer. There really is no better feeling than that....I gained a lot of weight. I also decided to do something about it.I hope 2008 is a wonderful year, not just for me and my family, but for you and yours as well. To echo tammy, if you are drinking tonight, please don't drive. We want to ring in the new year on a happy note, not with tragedy.
