Art Fire

I love making things. I make wood signs, and crochet all kinds of things. It brings me such joy when I see someone enjoy the things that I've made. A few months ago I opened an etsy shop, but only sold one thing, and that was to a friend. I just don't have the time or money to put into kepping it current. Recently I found ArtFire.com where I can sell up to 10 items at a time for free. This is a site dedicated to the handmade artisan community, where buyers and sellers can find each other. As a seller, you get a subdomain, a custom shop, your stats, trade guilds, and accomplishment recognition. They have a global reach, so you can sell to people all over the world. They even do currency conversion for everyone.

Right now, for every new member, they will plant a tree in a world ecology in need. Not only will you be selling your creations, you will be helping the environment. They hope to plant one million tress in 2009.

Why would you continue to sell your handmade items on a site that charges you a percentage of your sales? Check out ArtFire.com. They already have over 5,000 members, with hundreds more joining every day.
