My kids bug me all the time about downloading music off the internet. Ryan comes home everyday telling me he has heard about a new site that is legal to download music from. I do not allow him to go to these site alone, but sometimes I will check them out for him. Most times, it is not a free site, and the ones that claim to be still make me nervous. I do not want to be accused of making illegal downloads.

I did find Kerchoonz and I am going to let Ryan check this one out with me. It's much more than just a music site, too. It's also a social networking site. Once you sign up, you can upload a profile image for your own music page. You can choose your favorite artists and songs, and add them to your personalized playlist. You can display your mood, give little updates on what you are doing, and even make friends with other users. Artists also have their own pages, so you can check them out as well.

It is free to use this site, and the artisits do get paid when their music is shared. Like the above video, it is easy to post your favorites to your blog or website. I just realized that you can also post blog entries on your page, too. This looks like a very promising site for Ryan and I to check out. I have already signed myself up, and will most likely do the same for him.
