Would you believe we saw another black snake today coming home from the lake? This one was longer and thicker than the one we saw yesterday.
This one was mean, too. Junior used a stick instead of his foot, and this sucker was striking out almost the length of it's body. I didn't get nearly as close to this one as I did the other. Thank goodnees for the zoom button on my camera! lol!

It looked all ready to strike again. Be it aggressive or it could possibly be trying to defend itself from any hostility. We must surly treat it with respect. :)

well, this is one of mine....not a big snake fan...
