I do, my mother. She was about my age when she went back to college and got her nursing degree. The woman worked full time, went to school, and raised five kids, Pretty good, right?
When I heard of Scrubs, I immediately thought of her. Scrubs is an online magazine geared towards nurses. It has informative articles geared towards all levels of nursing. I found this section where you can nominate a nurse for The Scrubby Award, aka "the scrubbies". They had a few to choose from, but I loved this one. It's the "Baby's Bottom Award".
I present it to my mom for "staying so smooth when the poop hits the fan". Pretty cute, right? I think she'll love it!You can also participate in the sites poll section by answering questions about nursing. I answered the question about who my favorite fictional nurse is. You could choose between five different nurses, and of course I picked Carol Hathaway from ER. I picked her not only because I am a huge ER fan, but because I think she portrayed the qualities I think a nurse should have. She was sensitive to the patients needs, but not so much that it compromised their care. She was strong when she needed to be, but she was also gentle at the same time. She fought for what she thought was right, and in the end, it always came down to what was best for the patient. If I am ever in an emergency situation, I would want a nurse like her taking care of me.
I think the magazine is a great resource of not only relevant nursing topics, but some fun stuff as well. If you know someone who could benefit from reading it, make sure and pass along the link. Though geared towards nurses, I think regular people would enjoy reading it as well. I know I did.

Sounds like a good thing if you are a nurse.
