Two years ago, I worked at a produce stand. Well, actually, I ran a produce stand. Junior's ex-wife's father Del tried to start a business, and he put me in charge. Things were going good when I was there alone, but whenever Del was there, he would give away things for free. That was NOT good for business. He had such a big heart, and people started taking advantage. I would have people stop, and ask what I was giving away for free, and when I told them I wasn't giving anything away, they would say they would come back when Del was there. Why buy from me when he will just give it to you?
Anyway, he has decided to try again this year, and asked me to run it again.
I said no. Junior is going to help a couple of days a week instead.
The kids don't want to hang out up there with me in the heat, and besides, I am making a pretty good amount of money blogging, and I don't want to give that up. The watermelon we just ate was from his stand. We got that, a cantaloupe, and some tomatoes, and he refused to let us pay.
He's not going to last long at that rate.

It's hard to get a good watermelon here, later in the summer you can get a good one but you pay about $10. I just had a cantalope and strawberries tonight for the kids so they could eat a good snack with the baby sitter while we were both at work. They attacked it like it was gold and had about 1/2 gone before I got out the door. We are sure looking for some summer here and even set the pool up over the weekend hoping for some warm days.
