Things To Do This Summer

If your kids are anything like mine, they are wanting to get out of the house as much as possible this summer. Brandi brought home a bunch of fliers from school for all types of activities, but I can not justify paying thirty dollars for four hours of cheerleaders camp.

I was looking into Summer Camps, and am considering sending them to a day camp. I know there is no way they would do sleep away camp. There are so many options, depending on what the kids interests are. Day camp would give them something to do during the week, but our weekends would still be open. Now that Junior has weekends off, we want to find local things to do as a family. I just installed that bright colored widget over there on my sidebar, and you just put your zip code in and it will tell you some things to do in your area this summer.

The first thing that popped up when I put in my zip code was the Children's Museum. I think I know about this place, and I believe it might be a little young for my kids. The second thing that pooped up was a place in Charlotte that lets the kids make their own pizza's. Now, Charlotte is about an hour from here, so I'm not sure I would drive that far just to have the kids make their own pizzas.

These are just the things happening today. You can look forward to upcoming dates so you can plan ahead, too. It shows you things within a sixty mile radius of your zip code, so some things will be closer than others. I'm hoping we will be able to find some interesting things to do.
