The only problem I am having is Brandi's hair. Her hair is long and fine, and the chlorine is making it feel like straw. I have tried washing it as soon as she gets out of the pool, but that doesn't seem to be making a difference. I am thinking about giving her a hot oil treatment, but am not sure if that will help her fragile hair or make it worse?
Can you treat a seven year old's hair like that? I know I need to do something. She had such soft, beautiful hair, and I want it back in that condition. The chlorine doesn't seem to bother kasi's hair at all, but hers is course and thick to begin with.
I remember when we had a pool growing up, I spent the summers with green hair! lol! At least Boo's is still blond!

I have never had to deal with that. Have you tried doing a Google search for dealing with chlorine hair damage?
Mary, I haven't, but that's a great idea!
You know if you lather her hair in Mayonaise, and let it sit for a bit, then wash it out, thats a safe natural way to do it as well.
mayo....I think I have heard that before, and that won't put more chemicals in...I might just try that! Thanks!
I remember having green hair from the pool as a kid. I don't remember what was done about it. Good luck getting her hair back to being soft. I'm sure she would like it looking good before school starts.
A hot oil treatment would probably help....you could try a leave-in-conditioner as well. I hear that the mayo works wonders too but is hard to wash out.
