For those of us in the South, the kids only have about a month before school starts back. My kids first day is August 18, and they are dreading it. Kasi and Ryan will both be in the Junior High this year, and that leaves me wondering when, exactly, I got so old.
We are taking a Family Vacation about a week and a half before they go back. We wanted to go earlier, but Kasi is helping my mom babysit my nieces while my brother and his wife go on a cruise. The day Kasi gets home we are heading out. It will take about an hour and a half to get there, and then we'll have four days of relaxation.
At least that's what I am hoping for.
Next year, I want to try and plan a vacation for just Junior and I. I am looking into Romantic Getaways that will fit into our budget, and hopefully I can find something to do that we can both enjoy. We are planning a trip to New York for my new nephew's christening, but that doesn't count. I am hoping to get to meet a certain blog friend while I am up there, even if it is just a weekend trip. Maybe later in the year Junior and I can go check into one of the Vermont Hotels and do a little skiing. Or maybe not. I may not be that adventurous.
