We have had such a busy weekend. Friday afternoon, my mom and Missy (and Alex) came over for some pool fun and good food. (My sister was supposed to come, but Carson was sick) We hung out, the kids swam, we all ate, then we went and watched a fireworks display. The fireworks show was right where all the murders have taken place, so it was a little creepy, but there were tons of cops driving around. Missy blew up an air mattress in the back of her truck, and the kids had a ball hanging out and watching the fireworks. I forgot my camera, but Missy took tons of pictures that she is going to send to me (hint, hint! lol) After the fireworks, we came back to the house, and Alex spent the night. All the kids slept until noon yesterday, except Kasi. Missy and Sam picked up Alex, and we ran out to find some hash for Junior. (it's a southern thing, I think, where people set up stands on the side of the road, and sell pulled pork and other bbq-type meats) While we were out, Junior got some sparklers for the kids, and I bought the stuff to grill out some hamburgers. We had a nice, quiet evening with the kids, and they had a ball with the sparklers. I put up a bunch of pictures on my picture blog. This morning, Junior and I are up, and it's almost 11, but the kids are still sleeping. I think today we are just going to hang out and relax. It's kind of rainy outside, so who knows if the kids will get to swim. Maybe we'll just watch some movies.Oh, and just in case you are wondering, our serial killer has made national news, and luckily he hasn't struck since the other night when he shot the father and daughter at the family business. The daughter, who survived a shot in the head, was only 15. I say was because unfortunately, yesterday morning, she died. That makes five murders in less than a week. Poor Brandi is going to give herself an ulcer worrying. I told her last night that they caught and killed him, but she didn't buy it. Sometimes she is too smart for her seven years. I wish I could take her fear away, but I don't know how. I have told her over and over that we are safe, but she still worries. I can not wait until this guy is caught. Is it wrong that I am hoping he has a shootout with the police, and he ends up dead?

Oh! That IS where you live, huh?! I hope Brandi's worry will soon subside...AS IN, that maniac is caught and/or killed. Sicko.
PS: Have you ever thought of professional photography?? I mean..You take absolutely amazing pictures.. You always seem to catch just that exact moment.. or if they are posed, you make them not look posed..
You have a gift for photography..
Now that is a definite Unique photo. Very well done!
It seemed that the kids had a great time in the pool. :)

i'm glad you are a fortune teller and that he did end up getting shot to death by the cops... kind of freaky that you can tell the future... but this could be a good thing... lol
