I love this movie! It has been on HBO, and I watch it whenever I can catch it.It's about a pregnant girl, Novalee Nation, (Natalie Portman) whose boyfriend leaves her stranded at a strange Walmart. She lives there until the birth of her baby, who is delivered in the middle of a storm by Forney (James Frain) the town librarian. Novalee then discovers the generosity of those around her as she raises her daughter with the help of her friends, including Lexie (Ashley Judd) and Sister (Stockard Channing).
I love all the actors in this movie, although it is hard to see James Frain as the good guy after watching him in The Tudors. Ashley Judd is great in every movie she does...I don't see why she doesn't get more leads. I would recommend this movie to anyone looking for a good chick flick.
