Junior turned the heat on for the first time yesterday, and the house had that smell most of the day. You know that smell I am talking about, where the dust and stuff burns off the heating elements.
I am pretty sure that smell gave me a migraine. I woke up this morning with a slight headache, and I was hoping that a couple of ibuprofen would head it off, but no such luck. I laid back down once the kids were on the bus, and when I got up for good my head was pounding. I tried to see if maybe a few Tylenol would help, but they didn't. I usually take Excedrin tension headache when I feel a migraine coming on, and for the most part they work fine. But, as luck would have it, I didn't have any today.
I spent most of the day sitting in the dark, watching television quietly. I tried to get some work done online, but the thought of having to compare directories or write blog posts made my head hurt worse. When Brandi got home from school I talked her into letting me lay back down for a bit. I ended up sleeping for a couple of hours, and now my head is finally starting to feel better.
I wish I knew exactly what makes my head hurt so bad. I really do think this one was from the smell, but I have been getting them fairly frequently lately. Do any of you suffer from migraines, and if so, do you know what brings them on? What do you take to help ease the pain?
I am hoping tomorrow will be migraine free, because I have a bunch of baking to do for Brandi's birthday on Friday.

May you be migraine free tomorrow
If somebody has never had a migraine, they really DON'T KNOW. I have had migraines, so I know, and I'm so sorry for you. I hope you have a better day today!
My husband gets cluster migraine's and the only thing that works is Excedrin Migraine. We don't know what triggers them either. He just started a cycle this weekend and they can last anywhere from a week to two months! So not fun.
The only thing that finally helped me was going to an allergist.
I forgot to give you a hug. Hugs.
