Happy Birthday Brandi Rose!

Today is the day. You are officially eight years old. Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday I brought you home from the hospital. How is it that you are now this wonderfully smart, amazingly beautiful young lady?

This is you, a day after you were born. All 9 pounds, 13 ounces of you. I loved your fat cheeks, and the rolls of fat on your legs. You were, and still are, my baby. My last born. My heart.

I love this picture. All your aunts were visiting, and we were playing with tattoos. We put a few on your cheek, that fat cheek that I loved so much, and you were adorable.

This picture was taken at the zoo. You were probably six or seven months old...I don't remember exactly. We still go to this same zoo every year, and I can see in pictures how much you grow from year to year.

This is one of my all time favorite pictures of you, because it shows, even at such a young age, what a little diva you are. This was taken on your first birthday, and even then, you were full of attitude. I loved it!

And I loved you! I still love you. You hold a piece of my heart that no other can touch. You will always be my baby, no matter how old you get. I love watching you grow, and I love how you absorb information like no one I have ever met before. Your daily questions drive me crazy, but I know you just want to learn all that you can. Some days I think you are too smart, and that you worry about things that an eight year old shouldn't worry about. It just proves to me that you have a huge heart, and what hurts other people, hurts you. This compassion you have makes you special, and I know you will do great things someday.

I love you, Boo, so much, and I am so happy being your mom.
