It is so cold right now. We just got back from helping mom move a few things, and then a late trip to Walmart. I believe it is under 30 degrees. Tomorrow evening we are supposed to get a wintry mix of sleet and maybe some snow. I am dreaming of moving somewhere warm.
Maybe we can just pack up and move to the beach. Junior can find work anywhere, so that won't be a problem. He has been talking lately about switching careers, and maybe moving to a new town will give him the push he needs. He has talked in the past about maybe doing security work. If we moved to California, he could check out http://www.beachcitiesprotectiveservices.com/ and see if they are looking for any new men. I wouldn't mind him working at a car dealership or if he got into loss prevention. He has one of those at his job now, and he has asked him about the specifics of that job. It didn't sound like that bad of a job to have.
But, for now, I must suffer through the cold. I just keep reminding myself that I live in the south, and the cold never lasts. By next week, we will be back to sunny weather.

It's 16 degrees here this morning and winter seems to be our longest season so believe me when I say I also have a dream of moving somewhere warm.
Too much sand at the beach! Don't do it! Actually, if you think about it, since we both grew up on Long Island - which has tons of beaches - it was still cold! Although, it would be nice to find a combination of the two: warmer weather and access to the beach...
I enjoy the wintry weather! I love wrapping up with a blanket and a bowl of soup! But my daughter will agree with you- Away to some place warmer all year round!
I wish I could move. I live in Washington state. Way too cold. It gets to about 17 degrees here. This state is so gloomy too. I miss the warm weather.
I look forward to my retirement in 2 years when I can finally say goodbye to Canadian winters. It's not so much that I hate winter .. it's that it lasts for several months! If there really is such a thing as global warming, I'd like to see the results here!
