Taking Online Classes

I am a mom. First and foremost, this is the title that best describes me. Ever since the day my son was born over fourteen years ago, I have worn this title proudly.

But, now I am beginning to think there is more to me than that. My kids days of depending on me for every little thing are long gone, and I am finding that I am not sure who I am now, or who I want to be. I have been thinking about going back to school, but with Junior's work schedule, I do not know how we can make that fit. The best, and easiest solution would be for me to look into Online Colleges. I could go to "school" when it is convenient for me, and I could work it into my schedule. I have heard that taking classes through online colleges can also be cheaper than actually going to a campus for classes, and that would be wonderful, because we don't have much money lying around for "extras", and that's what school would be for me right now, as much as I hate to admit it. I bet I could qualify for some financial aid or a grant or something if I applied.

I did go to college after high school, but I never finished. I was working towards a degree in early childhood development. I wonder how old credits have to be before they are non-transferable? I guess that's something else I should look into.
