Dole Fruit Crisps

I am a picky eater. I don't like most cooked veggies, but love most raw ones. There is something about the crunch of a carrot I can not pass up, but when you make it all mushy, well, I would rather leave it on the plate.

I do, however, love most fruits, as long as they are not citrus. I am not an orange fan at all. If I had to choose, I would say that apples and bananas are my favorite fruit. Oh, I also love cantaloupe.

Anyway, the other day, I found these fruit cups in the grocery store, and I just had to get some. Each pack has two fruit cups, which come with a crunchy oat topping that you sprinkle on top.

And they are yummy! The three varieties I found were apple cinnamon, apple pear, and pineapple mango. The last two have 150 calories and 3.5 grams of fat, and the apple cinnamon one has 160 calories and 3.5 grams of fat. The kids have been eating them like crazy, and so has Junior.

I like the apple cinnamon one, I don't like the pineapple mango one (it was too sweet for me) and I haven't tried the apple pear yet. They are a bit pricey. We paid $3.68 at Food Lion, and then found them for $3 at Ingles. But the way I look at, it's a healthy snack that my entire family likes. That is reason enough for me to buy them again.

***Oh, and in case you were wondering, this is not a paid post.

I live in the UK and I wish I could eat some Dole crisps. All we get are Walkers, Mccoys and Snack a Jacks.
