White Water

Thanks to my friend Kathy Katson for the post!

We love taking our oldest daughter to White Water Bay Park each summer. I had to pack so much stuff for the trip. I got our bags ready with swim suits, extra clothes, sunscreen, and water. The water at the park is so expensive it is worth it to take our own along. I’m really conscious of home security florida issues, so I set our home alarm system and we were on our way out the door.

It is about a 2 hour drive for us. Luckily our car has a DVD player in it and she watched a movie along the way. When we arrived, we had the entire day to spend riding all the water slides. We started out by going in the lazy river to get wet. It helps float you along and is so much fun. Our daughter was so excited that we quickly moved onto the water slides. We love the Bermuda Triangle. You grab a raft and climb up to the top. We could feel the water dripping on us the entire way up. Once you get up there, you decide which slide you want to go down. These are one person slides and you go by yourself. It twists and turns the entire way down. Part of it is covered and dark. It is such a rush!

Next we went to Castaway Creek. It is a long relaxing ride through rocks on a tube. Their are a few places you go down kind of fast along the way. On one of them, I flipped my tube over the entire way and landed in the water! It was actually funny so I didn't mind. My husband couldn't stop laughing.

We had a blast spending the entire day going from slide to slide. We spent some time in the big pool. We watched our daughter climb across the lily pads trying to keep her balance. This is a trip we plan to take every summer. I can't wait till our youngest daughter is old enough to go along and enjoy the trip!
