It's Cold In Here!

My house is freezing!  I just received last month's power bill in the mail, and is was $200.  Granted, we have had some cold nights, and a snowstorm, but still.  I hate spending so much money on heat during the winter.  We live in a double wide mobile home, which is not very well insulated.  I asked Junior about putting clear plastic over the windows to try and keep the heat in, but he doesn't want to.  He said it might be better to look into cellular window treatments, which will do the same thing as the plastic yet look a whole lot better.   So, I guess I will be doing some research online, and hopefully within the next moth or so we can have something on the windows to keep the cold out and the heat in.  Without something, I have a feeling our next power bill will be even higher.

I hate the high bills and be still freezing in the house. Our bills are way to high and we are cold here. I hear you are going to get snow again Sunday. I hope it isn't much.

Ugh, tell me about it! We have electric heat here and our bill runs about $350 a month during the winter months. It snowed last night and is snowing again right now!

We have all gotten very used to socks, slippers, sweaters and blankets when hanging out watching TV or doing homework. Brrrr, can't wait for spring!

Tammy ~ I read where you keep your heat at 63...mine is usually on 65, and we are always chilly. I wish our heating bills reflected that.

Tara ~ me too! I want nice sunny weather, where I don't need to run my heat or my a/c.
