NMEDA

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NMEDA for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am a new driver.  At 39 years old I finally decided (okay, maybe I was forced to due to circumstances beyond my control) it was time for me to get my driver's license.  On March 21st of this year, I passed my driving test and became a legal driver.  Since then I haven't stopped driving.  I got a job driving a delivery van, and most days when I get home, the kids are wanting to go somewhere.  I find it hard to believe that I used to enjoy sitting home all the time, depending on other people to get me where I needed to go.

For the past couple of weeks, my car had been acting up.  She spent more time with the mechanic than she did with me.  I went crazy not being able to just get up and go. I love my new found freedom.  I know there are people out in the world who don't drive, or who can't drive.  Some of those people have handicaps that prevent them from being able to operate, or even get into, a vehicle.  NMEDA is a non-profit trade association that educates consumers on buying products from a NMEDA qualified dealer.  These dealers specialize in customizing vehicles to a person's specific needs, which is pretty important.  They also have QAP dealers. The Quality Assurance Program (QAP) is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. It is based on the principle that in order to satisfy customers consistently, companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.

If you are, who know someone, who is handicapped, check out the NMEDA website.  Through it, you can easily find a NMEDA dealer near you.
