NECTRESSE™ Sweetener

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NECTRESSE™Sweetener for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was sent NECTRESSE™Sweetener to try, and I have to say, I did not miss the "real" sugar in the recipe I tried out.  I was going to use the sweetener in my favorite cinnamon roll recipe, because that particular recipe calls for a lot of sugar.  NECTRESSE is 150 times sweeter than sugar, so I would have been able to use a lot less and still get the same sweetness.  Plus, it has zero calories, so my cinammon rolls would have been a little bit healthier.  But, as soon as my kids flipped through the recipes that came with my sample, they begged me to make the Strawberry Banana Shake.  They love the smoothies we sometimes get from fast food restaurants, but since they are expensive, I don't usually buy them for the kids.  This shake recipe calls for four ingredients, and since I used the NECTRESSE, they have a lot less calories than those sugar filled smoothies.

STRAWBERRY BANANA SHAKE

  • 1/2 medium banana
  • 3 frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup nonfat plain yogurt
  • 2 NECTRESSE Natural No Calorie Sweetener packets
  • 1/3 cup ice

DIRECTIONS:

Throw everything in the blender and blend until smooth.

THE END RESULT:

My kids loved it!  I had to triple the recipe, since the recipes makes only 8 ounces, and botht the girls and I wanted to try it out.  I didn't have plain yogurt, but I did have banana cream yogurt, and it worked just fine.  The shake had the perfect "smoothie" consistency, and was sweet and delicious.  I didn't tell my kids that it was "sugar free", and they didn't complain about it not being sweet enough.

NECTRESSE is the only 100% natural sweetener made from fruit.  It is made from the extract of monk fruit, which is a small green melon that grows in Asia.  You can find NECTRESSE in your local grocery store, drug store, supercenter, and even online. It is sold in convenient single serve packets, or in canisters, and they prices ranges from $3.99 to $6.99.  You can also get a FREE sample of NECTRESSE™Sweetener by following that link.

If you don't trust my opinion of this product, check out what journalist Lisa Ling has to say about it:

I will definitely be using the product (and the shake recipe!) in the future.  As someone who has to limit her sugar imput, I can use NECTRESSE to still be able to satify my sweet tooth.  And trust me, I have a big sweet tooth!
