The carpet in this apartment has always been disgusting. Don't get me wrong, we had it cleaned before we moved in. It is just stained and worn, and desperately needs to be replaced. Obviously we won't do it, because it is a rental, and I know the landlord isn't going to do it. It took forever for them to fix the roof and replace the water heater.
We have looked into Atlanta carpet cleaning, to maybe have them come in and do a thorough cleaning. The only problem is that most of the stains are set into the carpet, and probably won't come up. It couldn't hurt to try, though. I have been sneaky about hiding most of them. I have a throw rug that covers the stains in the middle of the room, and then I put baskets of craft supplies under the end tables to hide the stains there.
My kids have been responsible for some of the stains. We eat in the living room, so food gets spilled on the carpet. More than one drink has been spilled, and I won't even get into how much dirt come into the house from the front yard. It's even worse now with the pool. I think we really do need a good carpet cleaning.
