Changes

*Please do not have the sound up loud if children are around.

Bill_shatner
This country is changing. We made history this year by electing our first black president. Good or bad, things are not going to stay the way they are now. The big question is whether we are going to repeat the mistakes made in the past, or are we going to learn from those mistakes and grow from them. Are the things that made this country great in the first place going to continue to help our country grow, or are we destined to fail? These are the things we should be thinking about as our new President takes office. Are the changes he promised going to be enough to save our economy?

This video, Changes are Coming, takes a stab at what our future may be. Go watch the whole thing on youtube. It's not that long. I found it a little amusing. Make sure and leave a comment, sharing your opinion of the video.

I do not like talking politics on my blog. I will support our future president, because good or bad, he is going to be leading our country. The changes he is going to make will effect us all. Let's just hope that we do not let history repeat itself.

A Time Of Change

As usual, I woke brandi up around 5:40 am this morning. Before her little eyes were even open, she askd me who the new president is.

Her class has been discussing voting and elections for weeks now, and she has been very vocal about her choice for president. She really wanted to be able to vote yesterday. Her class "voted", and she was happy that her choice won her class election.

When I told her this morning who had won, she looked at me and said,

"He's the wrong one. That's a bad choice.".

Hmmmm.......

While I don't agree with America's choice, I don't want my children thinking we have a bad man about to lead our country. Right or wrong, we all need to support this nations decision.

Get The Call

Are you voting for Obama, or do you know someone who is? If you go here, you can get Barack Obama to ring your phone. All you have to do is enter some details, and the phone number you enter will ring with a call from Obama. I wonder what kind of promises he will make over the phone?
