Scalpel, Please

My son is having toe problems. We went to see the doctor this morning, because it looked like his nail was ingrown and infected. It's the big toe on his left foot. He is on an antibiotic and will have it removed in the morning by a surgeon. I was worried about the doctor working on a child, but my mom says it's the same one who did her gall bladder surgery, and that he is wonderful. Ryan has to be there by 11:30, which means I get another day off. I had the same thing done to my toe 5 years ago, and I know from experience that it has to be elevated for a while after. I can't wait to have my child bossing me around all day. He will definately get a big head from this, not being able to move and me having to do everything for him. What fun! I didn't work a full day yesterday. Brandi wasn't feeling well, her tummy was upset. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but since there is no potty close, running to the store every two minutes was not fun. So we closed around 3 and came home and swam. I didn't go in this morning because she still felt sick, Ryan's toe was gross, and I just really needed a day off! I hope he'll be able to find someone else to help out some. He said he might have someone to work evenings, which would be great. My pool is a mess! I won't be swimming for a few days, which is probably a good thing. I would hate for me and the girls to swim and Ryan not be able to. It is a cloudy mess. My dad said I have too many chemicals in it. OOPS! I may have to let some water out and refill it. I guess we'll see what happens!I broke my mom's engagement ring! I have no idea how I did it, but the band snapped in two. I hope it doesn't cost too much to have it fixed. I haven't taken that ring off in over 10 years. They had to cut it off my finger when I was pregnant with Kasi, and I had it fixed right after she was born. I don't remember how much it cost, but I do remember that it cost more if they have to add gold. I know they will have to add some this time. My fingers have gotten fat, just like the rest of me. It took me 30 minutes to get it off this morning. Junior had to bend and stretch the band. It hurt, too.
