Halloween/Ryan's Birthday

I am so excited! I finally picked the date for Ryan's birthday party. It's going to be Friday, October 26th, from 6:30 until 10. I also decided to do only one party this year. I am planning a lot of cool and scary things, and I can't spread them over two days. One of the things Nicole and I decided on was a scavenger hunt, and it will be done with flashlights, outside, after dark. Of course there will be volunteers hiding, waiting to scare the pants off all the kids. How fun does that sound!!!??? We're also gonna do an apple bob, costume contest, pinata, quess the # of candy corns in the jar, and maybe pumpkin decorating, depending on how much money I have left. I am also taking suggestions for a "feel the food blindfolded and tell me what it feels like" game. So far we have spagetti for brains, and cherries for eyeballs. I need like 2 or 3 more things, and would love some suggestions. Nicole had a TON of decorations she is letting me borrow, so I need to focus mainly on the food. I'm open to suggestions for that too. I want to make the cake, and I want it to be great and scary. I'm thinking scary pumpkin, like the picture. I have a pan that will make a round cake, so I might try that. I have so many ideas. So anyway, all guests must dress up, adults included. I will be giving away $5 gift cards to Wal-Mart for best costumes(one adult, one child) so be super creative. On another note, I got to see Carson today. Colleen brought him over for a little while. I love that kid! I spent the day yesterday with Colleen and Carson. We shopped, well, she shopped, and then hung out at her house. After we ate, she was giving Carson a bath. I was sitting on the floor in front of the tub, and he started slapping the water so that he splashed me. So I started splashing him back. At one point, I accidentaly splashed him right in the face. The kid laughed hysterically! So Colleen told me to do it again. I did. Again, he laughed his butt off. I LOVE when babies laugh. It is so pure! Anyway, every time he slapped the water, he turned to me so I could splash his face. It was soooooooo cute! Kasi made it home today in one piece. She says she had a really good time. She was tired, you could see it in her face. Morgan's parents gave her money to spend, so she brought back a lot of souveniers. I really missed her! If you can, go read her blog. She wrote some stuff about her trip.Oh well, I guess I'd better get off this thing. I made ribs for supper, and I need to get the dishes washed. I personally didn't like the ribs, they were very fatty. I've never had them before, but Junior and Nicole both said they were delicious, and that ribs are supposed to be fatty. Kinda gross if you ask me. Anyway, I got things to do so until next time....
