Action All Stars

Dotcom_outlinedall

My kids love playing games online. Some sites I don't mind them using, and one of them is ActionAllStars.com. My son loves it! I just set him up a free account, and we had fun building his person. You could chose skin color, eye shape and color, hair color and style, and of course, the uniform color. I loved the fact that I could chose what kind of chatting he will be allowed to do. I chose the safe chat. This allows the athletes to message each other, with their own words, but before it is transmitted, it is filters. The site blocks attempts to send non-approved words, phrases, phone numbers and other personal information. There was also a safe chat plus options, where atletes could only chose predefined phrases, including general statements, greetings, and questions. If you chose safe chat plus, your child will only be able to have conversations with other safe chat plus athletes. Since Ryan is thirteen, I trust him to use just the safe chat. He knows what he should and shouldn't say.

The only problem I encountered was with the verification email. At first I sent it to my yahoo email, and it never went through. I went back in and used my aol email, and it went through immediately. I just clicked on the verifiaction link, and Ryan was ready to play. He said it was a lot like club penquin, but with "real" people. We practiced batting, and it was a lot of fun. He is waiting for me to finish typing this so he can get back to playing. I feel comfotable allowing him to play on this safe site without my constant supervision.
