Education

The time is quickly approaching where I will start looking at colleges with the kids. Ryan is already thirteen, and I have a feeling the next five years are going to fly by. While I would love for him to be able to go away to a good college and get a top notch education, financially that may not be possible. It would be wonderful if he could go overseas to school, and get student accommodation leeds, but I know in my heart that his grades will prevent that from happening. Now Kasi, on the other hand, will probably get to pick whatever school she wants, and qualify for scholarships to pay for it all.

i dread college days. for a lot of reasons. i dread them for the cost... i have three kids going only two years apart... well you know what i mean. trevor will go then two years after i will have lauren and brooke going. but college is a MUST in our house, well at least i'd like to make it a must we'll see. but i worry about how far they will choose to go away to school. i will worry about drinking and drugs and partying and their general safety although i plan on being open and honest with them and laying the ground rules early on... you just never know. college is a time for a lot of changes... some good some not so good... i just hope they will all be GREAT and wonderful but that isn't really realistic.

anyway... since Trevor is only in kindergarten and the girls are still at home... i have a while to still worry.

i'm sure your children will do excellent at whatever they put their minds to doing. :)

Hey Jenn, just what I like to post about!!! Ok, my two cents is... think of Spartanburg Tech first! Look into Pell Grants-they can go to school for free and won't have to pay it back!

Tell them to get all of their Maths and English's out of the way first then, if they are still undecided take things that would apply to every major, hist, art, lit~ Things like that!

Once they build up their grades (GPR) and their college classes as a freshman then they can transfer over to a 4 year!! Think in state, its cheaper!

I know Ryan might be a hands on kind of creative genius, he might be interested in machine shop or auto cad design! I could see him building hot rods and race cars! He can get started with that at Tech and then transfer to Clemson-We have ICAR!!! :}

If you think Kasi can just jump into school still point her to Tech for the foundation like I mentioned and then transfer to Clemson- she can be whatever she dreams over there!!!

They will be close to home if they get stressed or start to burn out!

This really goes for anyone reading your blog! I love sharing and if you need any materials let me know!!!
