Junie B. Jones

Kasi used to love Junie B. Jones. She still does. My brother and his family gave Brandi a couple of Junie B. Jones books for her birthday, and she hasn't been able to put them down. She is reading this one, Boss Of Lunch right now. When I was in Wal-Mart buying yet another vampire book yesterday, she was begging for more Junie. I love that my girls love to read as much as I do. I just wish Ryan did, too.

Have you tried the Audio book version of it? It's awesome! Some expert are saying that it also helps kids with their learning and reading comprehension when they listen to the book themselves. You might want to try that too.

i have to admit we have some Junie B Jones books for Trevor... there are two of them...

there's a monster under my bed, and for the life of me I can't think of the other one... but anyway... Trevor really likes them a lot and isn't to the point yet to say that they are just for girls b/c they are about a girl... he thinks she is funny as hell and LOVES it. we crack up over Junie and how silly she is. :)

i also enjoy these books while reading them to him. and i'm very lucky b/c so far Trevor is really into reading and getting read to. he is only starting to read, but it is sooooo amazing to me. :)

but anyway.. the Cam Janson books are pretty cool too... although to be honest we only have one of them.

oh and as for Ryan... some kids are just not into reading... BUT what if you got him some kid-ish magazines or a magazine about animals or cars or something that he would be interested in but that doesn't advertise naked girls in it... b/c a LOT of them do... ugh... not really naked but damn near close... and they are like about paintball or motocross or cars... but anyway... maybe if you found some magazines that had articles in it that would interest him he would at least read them and that is still reading and sharpening his reading skills. :)

also maybe if he enjoyed reading the articles he would then think about reading some books. :)

just a thought. :)
