I am so glad that I stay up late at night to drop my ecards. Wednesday night, well, actually, it was Thursday morning, around 12:15 am, I was sitting here, dropping my cards. The entire house was quiet, except for Friends on TV. All of a sudden, I hear a big POP, followed by a WHOOSH...the cold water pipe under my kitchen sink blew off. If you remember, this happened to the hot water side a few months ago. Anyway, there is water shooting out from under my sink, flooding my kitchen quickly. I start yelling for Junior to get up and help as I am just throwing towels on the floor, trying to contain the water. Yeah, no such luck. By the time he got the water turned off, the big rug under my kitchen table is soaked, as are all the little rugs I have in there. If I hadn't been awake, the whole house would have flooded for hours before we realized it. That would not have been good. I guess the good in this is that it forced me to clean my kitchen.....

This Could Have Been Us!

OMG, Jenn!! A similar thing happened to us at our house in NC. My husband and I were laying in bed watching TV and we heard an odd sound..hmm... we muted the TV, listened, didn't think much of it, but the noise wasn't stopping...lol.. So, we got our lazy butts up and it was the pipe underneath the bathroom sink, water shooting everywhere.. It is funny now, not so funny then.. lol, but, yeah.. it does force you to clean up!! Ha ha ha!!
WOW~! That is fortunate that you were awake and caught it before it created a lot of damage.
