Mother's Day is this weekend, and my kids have all kinds of surprises ready. I have overheard talk of breakfast in bed, fishing, and lots of hugs and kisses. I love that they are planning the day around things I like to do, and of course throwing in a trip to the park, which they love. But being the mom is all about doing things for the kids, so I will enjoy the time at the park as well, because it makes them happy.
When people ask what's the best Mother's Day present I have ever gotten, I have a very simple answer. Kasandra. She was born three days after Mother's Day in 1997, and I couldn't have asked for a better gift. I remember the first time I held her; I couldn't believe I had a daughter. Wasn't she beautiful?
This Mother's Day, if you know someone who is expecting, think about investing in their baby's future. By collecting and preserving a baby's cord blood with Cryo-Cell U-Cord, you are potentially protecting them from diseases they may develop in the future. Scientists are doing so many thing with cord blood these days, and are finding more and more diseases that can be treated with the stem cells found in cord blood. I am aware that it is a little expensive, but can you really put a price on your child's future? I wish this service was available when I had my kids.
