Get Smart

I am a huge Steve Carell fan. I have loved him ever since The 40 Year Old Virgin. I watch the office occasionally, simply because I really can not stand the other characters in the show. I am a big fan of Anne Hathaway, too, so I was excited when I found out they were doing this movie together.

Carell plays Maxwell Smart, and Hathaway is Agent 99. I was expecting it to be set in the same time period as the television show, but it wasn't. This was a pleasant surprise. The movie focuses on Max and 99 trying to find nuclear weapons stolen by KAOS. I loved the chemistry between these two. I think my favorite scene in the whole movie is the dance scene with the fat lady.

I liked that I got to see The Rock Dwayne Johnson (who doesn't like looking at him?) and I have loved Alan Arkin, who plays The Chief, ever since seeing Little Miss Sunshine (Carell was in that, too). It was also a treat to see Bill Murray in the tree.

I know I'm not giving away too much of the movie, but I do recommend you watch it if you need a good laugh.
