Paradise At Home

We are big card players in my house. Brandi was five when we taught her how to play rummy. She's seven now, and can hold her own against her brother and sister. It was important to me to teach the kids how to play cards, because it is something I always did growing up. My sisters and brother and I would play all kinds of card games, and those are great memories of mine. We used to have a Card Table we would set up when we went to my Grandparents house, and we would play all types of card games.

When my parents first moved down south, my sister and brother stayed up north with me, and we had an apartment together. Our grandparents still lived there, and we would get together with them a couple of times a month to play poker. They had a Poker Table we would sit at, and we would play for hours. My Pop Pop's favorite was "deuces and jacks, the man with the ax, and a pair of sevens takes all". He is no longer living, and I miss our poker games.

I was looking at Poker Tables online, and found the one in the picture. Isn't it beautiful? I love that it has a flat table top, so it can be used for other things, too. If you are looking for poker tables, check out buypokertablesonline.com. They offer their tables at discounted prices, and they also offer free shipping. I really hope that when we move, whatever house we end up in has a finished basement, so I can set up a game room. I know that would be the room we would spend the most time in. It would have a card table, a pool table, a dart board, and a big screen television. I would probably have to put a refrigerator and a bathroom close by, too, so that we would never have to leave our little paradise.

this is VERY Good to know. Bryan LOVES to play poker... i wish i had a job so i could buy him this for his bday or for christmas or something... he would LOVE to have it.... it's a beautiful table. the only problem is that he doesn't have many people to play poker with... for some reason not many, IF any, of our friends play poker. I like to play... but i just bluff my way through the entire game... and don't really know any of the rules... crap. who am i kidding... I don't know ANY Of the rules really but i still get a kick out of playing. it has been a LONG time since I have played cards of any kind... i love it though. when Trevor was little we used to play cards and dominos with Bryan's dad and step-mom, it was nice to get together and do that... but we haven't done it in a LONG long time... it's a shame. my family used to always play cards and games too... we would always play some sort of game every night before bed when we were camping too... i loved those times and love those memeories. :)

thanks for sharing the table idea and website... i'll have to show this to Bryan.
