Who Isn't Blogging?

I love blogging. I started two years ago thinking I could keep family members up to date with all the silly things my kids do. I had no idea that there is a whole community of bloggers out there, who support each other by sharing in the successes and failures that happen to us all. I have been so lucky to have found a wonderful group of women who I get to call my friends, who I never would have met had it not been for my blogs.

I have noticed lately that more and more companies are setting up blogs. My local newscasters all blog, and spend part of their newscasts reading comments left by viewers on the stories that are being aired. I think it's great to have that interaction, where you get more than one viewpoint. Companies can Engage Members by sending out a blog entry, and getting immediate feedback. It could be like having a meeting, but without having to have everyone in the same room. Wild Apricot's Smart Software is perfect for starting your companies website. You can have different sections that you can limit access to, and you can have an unlimited number of web pages.

Of course you are going to want to have your page reflect who you are, so make sure you customize your page. You can chose one of the professional looking templates, and then play with the colors and fonts until you have exactly the look you want. Uploading you own custom headers and footers can also give your page more personality. I love the look of my blog, but it took me a while before I was happy with it. It takes time, and with me it was a lot of trial and error, but when you get it exactly the way you want it, it's worth it.

With working I haven't had as much time to blog as normal. I was doing a lot of paid postings too but I recently lost all my page rank and that work has dried up. At least it's summer so I can enjoy the time not watching for paid opps and just fill my blogs with fun stuff we are doing around here.
