I can not believe it has been a year already. I don't remember too much of that first day, just that I was scared. I was afraid of how people would react to the new me. I was afraid of how my husband would react to the new me.I was most afraid of how I would react to the new me.
I wish I knew then how happy I would be today. If I had, I probably would have had the surgery years ago. I walk around my yard in a tank top or bathing suit now, and I'm not embarrassed. I allowed Ryan to have a friend sleep over, and I didn't have to wear a bra to bed. In fact, most days I don't put on a bra at all. Sure, I do if we go to the store or something, but not at home. Before the surgery, I put one on the moment I got up in the mornings, and wore it until I went to bed. Shirts fit better, and my back and shoulders feel amazing.
I am happier now, with myself. I have more confidence.
I had nothing to worry about.

I was going to ask what kind of surgery you had, then I checked your archives/tags. I've considered BR surgery, but it's not covered by my insurance because I'm not "big" enough, if you can imagine that. Even though I've had my skin break because of the heavy fat and glands.
BTW, it's also Ringo Starr's birthday. Coincidence? :)

Glad it worked out for you. I am on the opposite side of you. I could use an enhancement ;) but I would never. Sometimes the grass is greener on the other side, but not always.

how is that possible??? I remember my mom had surgery right before you did and i was a nervous wreck worrying about the two of you. lol
i'm soooo glad that you both had your surgeries, that they both went perfectly smooth and most of all that you are both really happy with your results and feeling really good!!! :)

that was when we got really close... talking each other through surgeries and telling one another that it would be okay. lol
