iLasik Video Contest

I wear glasses. All day, every day. There are times I wish I didn't have to though. It has nothing to do with vanity, but simply the fact that while I am swimming, I would love to be able to see. I have tried wearing contacts, but find they irritate my eyes. Since I love the water, and swim every chance I get, I am thinking about iLasik as a way of solving my vision problem. I know a couple of people who have had it done, and they claim it has made a tremendous difference in their lives. I need to tell them about this contest I just found out about.

Abbott Medical Optics Inc., a global leader in laser vision correction, is having a iLASIK Video Contest called “You Gotta See This". It's really simple to enter. All you have to do is make a video, explaining how laser eye surgery has, or will, impact your life. You then enter your video into one of these three categories:

“My contacts are getting in the way of my good time”
“My favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision”
“You should see life after the iLASIK® Procedure”

After submitting your video, make sure you tell everyone you know to go and vote for it. If you are a blogger, beg your readers to vote or it. I did this last year to win a computer game, and I won by a landslide! In fact, I did a Thursday Thirteen post stating all the reasons I should win, and asked everyone to go vote. If you win this contest, you get way more than a computer game.

The Grand Prize in this contest is $5000! I am sure you could buy hundreds of video games with that much money, although I am sure you would spent it a little more wisely. The grand prize will be awarded to one video from every video entered. First Prizes will be awarded to one video in each category. First Prize is an HDTV package, which is a $2,500 value. There will also be second prize winners in each category, and they will win the Flip UltraHD™ camcorder, which is a $199.99 value.
