Long Weekend

It's been quite a weekend. With all my sister's complications, and me wishing I could be up there with her, it feels like this has been the longest weekend of my life. Junior got his yearly bonus this morning at his store meeting, so we went out and had a nice lunch in a , gasp, restaurant, and then spent a little money on things we haven't been able to afford lately, the biggest thing being a printer for the computer. It was only $30, and we have been needing one for a while now. Kasi had a project to do, and it was going to require a couple of hours at the library so we could type it up and find all the material online, and print it out. I think we made the right decision getting the printer this weekend, because I was able to help her at home, and it took us a few tries to get it to print right. I would have been ticked if we were at the library, because they charge per page, and it would have been a little pricey.

Junior also got new shoes, which he only does twice a year. The ones he has been wearing had no support left, and holes in the bottoms. He sure knows how to wear out a pair of shoes.

sometimes you have to take a little of the extra money to treat yourself.

I love/hate those days. I had one yesterday myself. I love that my hubby finally has a trimmer that works, our shower has a place to put the shampoo, and the kids room has drapes to keep it dark (all on clearance btw), but I always mentally think about what I COULD have spent that money on.

There are times where we take extra money we weren't expecting and get what we want. The things that I look at while at the store but put back 'cuz I don't NEED it. I think it is necessary to stay on budget
