This is why I want to move:
This is the ceiling in my kitchen. Lovely water damage from our holey roof. We have asked numerous times for it to be fixed, but nothing has been done in probably eight months. The management company doesn't care that I live with buckets on my floor when ever it rains. I have to put out three in my kitchen, one in the living room, and one in my bedroom. You would think they would be more concerned about the Roofing on this duplex, because it is destroying the inside ceilings and walls, as you can obviously see. Eventually they are going to have a black mold problem. I wish they would hire some Roofing Contractors to come in and fix the problem once and for all, instead of just patching it.Because the "patching" isn't working anymore.
The people next door are having a harder time than us, though. They have a mouse problem, on top of their leaky roof. It seems their kitchen sink leaks, and it rotted a hole in the cabinet underneath, which is leading to the outside somehow. Paige, my neighbor, was telling me how they lay in bed at night and can hear the mice running around. I am very thankful that the wall we share is well insulated, because I haven't seen any mice, knock on wood. I think it might be partly because we have the cats, too. In fact, yesterday morning I found a dead mouse right outside my front door. I love when they leave me presents like that.
Anyway, I will be so happy when February comes around. I am not wanting to start trouble while we are living here, but once we move, Junior wants to report them as slum lords.
We'll see what happens.

That's horrible Jenn... I'm so glad you are planning to move. I can't believe the owner doesn't care more about his tenants or his property than that. I hope you find a beautiful and well priced place to move to :)
